I guess I'm saying one guy, who knows a lot of the inner workings, mentioning it is not the same as the entire nation looking up and going "Uhhh, this doesn't make sense" like they did with Ole Miss from the second the faxes rolled in.
Nobody looks at this Georgia class and says "this doesn't make sense". Most people look at it as "this makes sense how did it take this long".

We haven't even talked about Moody.
I guess it means we are going to miss on one of the bigger prospects? Some folks said Peterson was still in play but I didn't have much hope.

It's not a good look for Alabama fans, signers of the #1 class forever, to be talking about UGA paying guys because they got a great class this year.
Especially since their HC is our former DC!

The guy is basically a little Saban clone in the way he operates he program logistically. We're supposed to believe that he just decided to add in having a booster network that pays players while at Georgia having not learned or been involved in any of it at Alabama?

Smart is just doing what every Georgia coach in the last 30 years should have done. Lock down Georgia (top 3-4 recruiting state with ZERO instate competition) and grab a couple of select guys from elsewhere and take home the #1 rated class year after year. They were a recruiting sleeping giant forever.

Agree. UGA didn't need to cheat to sign that great class. Everything aligned well for it to happen.

Kirby is building his recruiting footprint just like Saban.
Step 1 is lock down your state as well as you can.
Step 2 is getting as many top guys within 5-6 hours of your school.
Step 3 is going national in select areas
Step 4 is getting errybody
