Watts just did a forecast for ITS to USC.
So it begins. The great melt of our time.

250-260
He never even sniffed 250-260 while at Bama. The roster listed him at 237 his senior year. Which is why he mostly came off the field on obvious running downs.
He is 260 now, but that's with the Ravens.
Anoma can absolutely contribute at the same spot as Williams, if he understands the defense and plays with discipline.

It's a three-team race for Alabama commit Quay Walker | al.com
quote:
Quay Walker has been tight-lipped recently, even with those close to him.
What's clear, though, is that this is a three-team race for the longtime Alabama commit.
Those three schools, according to the four-star linebacker's high school coach, are the Crimson Tide, Tennessee and Georgia.
"Just judging by the way he's been the past week, he seems to be a little bit more comfortable with things and he seems to be a little more (at ease)," said Brad Harber, Walker's high school coach. "With that said, I think that he's very close to knowing what school he wants to attend."
Though the Cordele, Georgia native remains committed to Alabama, the feeling for at least some familiar with his recruitment is that Tennessee is probably the favorite to land him at this point.
Helping the Vols is that Walker had a great relationship with Jeremy Pruitt when Pruitt was at Alabama, which Pruitt has continued to build on since taking over as Tennessee's head coach. In addition, Walker had pre-existing relationships with three other new Vols coaches, including defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer.
Sherrer was Walker's primary recruiter when he was at Georgia.
"Tennessee, to me, is that wild-card," Harber said. "Tennessee wasn't even really on the map at all, but you have all these guys that Quay's familiar with and now they're all at Tennessee."
Still, Alabama is hoping to keep Walker as part of its class.
Walker took an official visit to Alabama January 19. Outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi then visited Walker in Georgia last week and coach Nick Saban visited Walker in Georgia earlier this week.
According to Harber, it's still possible Walker could sign with the Tide.
"Given the fact that he has not decommitted from them or anything, I think they have a chance," Harber said. "It wouldn't surprise me for him to stick with his commitment to Alabama."
Though Walker took an official visit to Auburn last weekend, Harber doesn't think the Tigers are in the mix.
Walker is planning to visit Georgia this weekend, per Harber.
He will then announce his decision during a National Signing Day ceremony at his high school next Wednesday.
"Speaking on my end, I think all of those three (Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia), they're all good choices," Harber said. "And I think that he's going to make the right decision. Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, none of 'em would surprise me on February 7. None of 'em. I really do think it's that close, to be honest with you."

They dropped Bo Nix behind Taulia & Tyson so I am pretty salty right now
Well, it definitely wasn't based on his performance. Pretty sure Nix equaled them in yards and TD's last year, and he was out for five weeks with a broken ankle. He's the real deal.

Ehh better than Tenn. That's the one team out west that stayed on his list. I view it as me being from Alabama but visiting nothing but west coast schools. He just wanted visits.

From the TWATTS thread, seems like Bama never really truly pushed for ITS. Seems like there are at least 3 DB's the staff likes a little more than him. Still in the mix for those guys, so it is what it is there.
Tim says expect at least one but possibly as many as 3 more DB's to sign with Bama come NSD. TIFWIW, but it seems like the DB picture is starting to come into focus.
Smith with possibly Surtain and/or Campbell is what we are holding out for it seems.

Really nervous about the corner position. If we miss out on Surtain, Campbell and ITS we're going to be thin as hell at that spot next year.

Either way, I won't ever melt over any recruit who chooses to go somewhere else.
Bama ain't for everybody and Bama can't get everybody they want.
I don't fret about the ones we don't get. I care about the ones we do get.

I’m hoping PS2 and Campbell aren’t Tony Connor pt. 2
Posted on 2/1/18 at 9:33 pm to chattabama
What do you mean Tony Connor???We all actually thought we were getting him.

I don't know why people are so offended by saying this class is weak. It's weak from what we are used to, why sugar-coat it? We are on the last week until NSD and holding our breath to see if a 3-Star CB signs with us. This recruiting year blew arse, one 5-Star? Last year we had 12. It's ok to call a dud a dud. This is our worst class since 2010.
Yea cause we've never killed it on signing day before... why expect to this year right?

There’s a good contingent of Alabama fans who think we are getting PS2.

Being mature and rational has no place on this forum, sir.

Nah. We'll be a'ight.
Savion Smith (JuCo), Armour-Davis, Jobe and Eddie Smith are all excellent prospects listed as cornerbacks.
Xavier Williams could also wind up on defense. Jacob Copeland too, and I sense he wants to come to Bama.

Speaking of DBs next year, does anybody know which position Chadarius Townsend ended up at?
