So ITS and Irvin will be who Bama closes with at DB.

Those two plus Jobe, Smith and JAD is a great haul at DB.

I'm thinking Eddie Smith and Irvin. Not holding my breath on at least one of ITS, Surtain, and Campbell. I'd really like to be wrong.

I am with you and will be happy with Smith and Irvin but I am greedy and Smith, Irvin, Surtain, and ITS

We have a ton of great DB options. We will close with 2-3 great DB's to add to the 3 great ones we just signed. It will be one of the best DB classes in the country without question. That said, selfishly I'd like to get one of the 5-star guys as a exclamation point to this DB class. If we need to hire someone to get Surtain, I say do it. We can always fire them if they stink.

No 247 sub but some article on there about E Smith some UT fans think we now lead after in home visit and eluding to him possibly committing to us this weekend. Anyone got info on this.

Karl Scott was at Eddie Smith's school yesterday and Coaches Saban and Burns followed up with an in-home yesteday evening. Remember, Scott was already recruiting Smith for Texas Tech, so they already had a good relationship.

Pruitt also used his in-home visit yesterday, but after all was said and done, Eddie said he no longer has a leader. He claims a top-3 of Miss State (the State staff will go visit him tomorrow), Tennessee, and Alabama.

Eddie's taking his OV to Bama this weekend and it will be his last Official prior to NSD. Also remember, his host will be his cousin Devonta Smith. Eddie says he wants to see if Bama feels like home...

Agreed... we basically have a shot at 6 guys for 2-3 spots. Like you guys have been saying, Saban looks to be rejuvenated and we are gladly hanging on for the ride. RTR!!!

EDIT: The BOL post mentioned earlier about Raymond made its way to the LSU 247 Site. Sonny and Shea basically say the Raymond rumors come with the territory, but that he will go all out to land Surtain. Sonny did confirm that he feels Bama closed the gap considerably but LSU still leads and its on the Coaches (Raymond/Aranda/Orgeron) to close the deal.

The thing that gets me about 7SU fans is they say "Don't go to Bama, you'll be a no-name! Just another number!"

Uh, then what the frick is Tolliver? Nobody outside of LSU in college football even talks about him.

Wasn't he the best DB, the new PP7, etc.. ?? Eerily similar to how they talk about Surtain.

Compare him to Minkah who was ranked below him yet will be drafted way above him.

Or Jacoby Stephens? What is he doing now? That staff has mishandled his development from the jump.

And the person that posted that about their players are more recognized across the country than Bama's are. Really? People MIGHT know Key and Guice. That's it. They know Bama's backup QB (whichever one it is), their RBs, their DBs, etc. That comment was pure idiocy.

Are you guys taking 25? Our side still feels good on Campbell. I know the Walker to Tennesse talk has a ton of smoke around it, but I just don’t think he will end up there in the end. I think any kids looking at UT are taking a gamble if they want to play at a winner.

As of now its 23. Some people say we are the leader for Surtain, some say we have a 5% chance but we have jumped all in on 5 star Olijah Griffin and 3 star E. Smith which our staff views as a top corner. Who knows

There's very stiff competition recruiting these top unsigned DBs. Saban is smart to pursue as many as he is, even though we can only take two -- maybe three, depending on how things go with our targets for other positions. Buckle up, it'll be a wild ride all the way to NSD.

The NFL knows their name. "With the 11th pick in the first round the Steelers select......."
