He does seem to be reinvigorated.
Saban seems to like recruiting just as much as he does coaching.

Rivals put out a story about the biggest movers in the updated Rivals 250, but none of our targets/commits were listed.
I can't tell where are guys are ranked though because they haven't updated the rankings page yet.

TE Malcolm Epps (former commit)
He signed with Texas, not sure the point?
I do recall analyst saying Bama would be better off at TE in this class after he decommitted. Funny now

The first post in this thread (besides the prospect link posts) is that he de-committed.

Straight from a NFL HEAD COACH: OUR CONFIRMED RECRUITING PITCH:
Titans' Mike Vrabel says Nick Saban, Urban Meyer part of NFL 'farm system'
There is no NFL minor league, or is there?
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel grabbed the attention on Monday during his introductory press conference when answering a question on how college schemes would affect scouting.
Vrabel pointed to Alabama's Nick Saban and Ohio State's Urban Meyer.
"The NFL has the greatest farm system in the world," Vrabel said at his introductory press conference, to a question about whether he'd use college concepts. "We pay our farm system coaches $10 million to develop players. Nick Saban is our farm system. Urban Meyer is our farm system. So, those are the types of players they're developing. Those are the types of players that are playing in high school. That's where the game is at."
He's not wrong.
A number of professional leagues have minor league systems. The big difference, however, is the NFL doesn't finance the college game. So, in a sense, it is better than a farm system.
University presidents, I'm sure, aren't thrilled with the idea of their programs being labeled a farm system. They want students-athletes to be students, then athletes, not athletes who are also students.
With that said, the fact that Saban and Meyer were named is more of a compliment than anything in the grand scheme of the big machine known as college football.
"The reality of it is, in many way, major college football is the minor league system for the NFL," Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage told me on Tuesday morning. "When you compare it to Major League Baseball, and basketball has all the European Leagues and the D-League. The NFL doesn't have that. They really lean upon the colleges to produce these prospects in terms of becoming professional players.
"It's a matter of semantics, I guess, but there is no question that Alabama, Ohio State and Florida State, in recent years, LSU, those are those football factories when you look at the number of players that come out of those programs."
At the start of the NFL season, 39 former Alabama players were on the active rosters of the league's 32 teams. Ten of them are rookies.
Players sign with programs that can get them to the NFL, right?
So, if an NFL coach points out a college coach, he is probably doing the coach's program a favor, from a recruiting perspective.
What do you think?
