#Alabama has seven five-stars in their 2017 class. Most ever in the history of Rivals.com . Six of the players have enrolled.
Dat bama bump tho

Najee Harris caps the '17 cycle at No. 1 overall. Already enrolled,he marks the 1st Scout No.1 brought in by #Bama
I have always thought that Scout's rankings were among the very best.

How good is the 2017 offensive tackle class? Every site who covers recruiting 365 days a year has a different OT on top. Many will play early

Bama all tied up with Ohio state for composite 5 stars after all sites released final rankings, at 5 each. Ohio state still has a ungodly high average of over 95 (lots of high 4 stars), but losing our kicker helped our average up over 93. And we still will take like 4 or 5 more guys

I purposely didn't give this an upvote since it already has exactly 7 right now.

Najee has fallen to 3rd on the 247 composite rankings. I wonder how much his injury played into that?

Jedrick Wills is the 2nd highest rated 4 star on the 247 composite, just missing his 5th star.

Did ESPN update yet this morning? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Scout update yesterday, after Rivals on Monday and 247 on Tuesday, with ESPN to oome today, right?

Depending on how OSU finishes the class, it will drop a bit likely. They are trying to get another WR, OT and RB. The RB they may take will be really late likely, but he would be a much bigger recruit if he hadn't been out his sophomore and junior year with a really bad leg injury. Ellison is a 3* I think mostly everywhere. OT they are prob getting Munford who is right at a 90 I think, and WR they have a few potential options/prospects.
Of course they are waiting on Wilson/Tufele as well but things seem to not be going OSU's way on those fronts

In a bit of bias, I have always liked Scout's rankings more than most. They are more prone to include more midwest guys in their rankings, and seem to give more of a fair shake (to me). I'm not saying Midwest guys should be included if they aren't deserving, but some of the others seem to have way less guys from that region than ends up being correct.
In the end, getting 4* and 5* guys wins games so just recruit a lot of good ones from all the sites

I've come to the conclusion that each set of rankings is about the same in terms of legitimacy. Each of them have like 1 or 2 dudes that come up with the whole thing, so I don't see how any are likely more legit than the others. That's why the composite is useful to me. Just more sets of eyes.
