From Ryan Bartow:

quote:

The recruitment of five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon (Leesburg, Ga./Lee County) has another twist.

Solomon, a former Michigan verbal commit, went on the record multiple times during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl week indicating Alabama leads.

Hence a run by many on the Crystal Ball for the Crimson Tide.

I picked up some intel Saturday night indicating behind the scenes Michigan is a better spot than many realized.

Per a source, Solomon reached out to his high school staff following the bowl game in San Antonio indicating he’s planning to commit to the Wolverines.

Solomon, per a source, indicated a similar message to Michigan’s staff later in the evening.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the first chance most participants have to play football against a field entirely consisting of fellow FBS caliber prospects, which provides for an outstanding evaluation opportunity. Here are the 12 prospects who impressed us most over the course of the week of practices and in this year’s Army Bowl game.

Najee Harris

The nation’s No. 1 ranked prospect did not have quite the impact in the game as was expected, carrying eight times for just 22 yards, but as noted that can happen due to the nature of these all-star games. This is a look at the entire week, though, and Harris was certainly among the 12 most impressive players during the week in San Antonio. His footwork for a player that size is so impressive, and then he certainly has the ability to lower a shoulder and pick up the tough yards.

Its not bizarre at all. I can see what Harbs is doing. I'm willing to bet he told that kid to act like he wants to go to Bama, Sucks nobody bought it. The huge lead shite was a giveaway. Been there with Randolph.

Henry Ruggs

Henry Ruggs got better and better throughout the week and capped it with a strong performance in the East's 27-17 U.S. Army All-American Bowl win. Ruggs caught two passes for 79 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown from Clemson quarterback commit Hunter Johnson midway through the second quarter for the game's first points. Ruggs is a field-stretching receiver who can also make defenders miss in tight quarters. He can line up outside or in the slot. Alabama and Florida State will get January official visits from Ruggs, who also has Auburn, Florida, and Penn State in his top five.

Solomon's family must be a transplant from the midwest b/c why in the world a southerner would want to freeze their @ss off in an overrated conference.

He ran like a man possessed in that game. He might be my favorite player of the Saban era

And he was saying " gonna be a SEC fight" for his signature. He is a little too vocal. Lol

What would be funny is if all these kids had talked and decided to troll the hell out of Harbaugh and Meatchicken with false promises. First Najee, then Solomon hints at Michigan leanings only to go elsewhere. I'd love to see the melt.
