With dad on the staff at South Carolina, hard to imagine him anywhere else unless dad changes jobs.

Well we took the first step yesterday by offering him. If he stays in Opelika for his Senior season then I think we have a shot. If he follows his dad to South Carolina then he's headed there IMO.

Alabama has extended an offer to Tua Tagovailoa, a 2017 four-star, dual-threat quarterback out of Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis, according to multiple media reports.

Tua Tagovailoa Highlights

He's from the school as Marcus Mariota and his coach said he's better than Mariota. He's supposedly scheduling a visit to Tuscaloosa.

Last week, following Fromm’s decommitment, BamaOnLine released a list of potential signal callers that could join the Tide’s class. One of those names was Daulton Hyatt, a three-star, pro-style quarterback from Etowah High School in Attalla, Ala.

A source tells BOL that Alabama has been reaching out to Hyatt in recent days, and that they believe the staff is ready to start picking up the in-state quarterback’s recruitment. Hyatt has been invited – and will attend – to come Tuscaloosa on Friday, the opening day of spring practice.

Before Narcisse committed (and decomitted), several of us on the aubie board were hopeful for Bentley instead. Last we heard he was going to transfer from Opelika but that has been a while.

Corona (Calif.) Centennial 2017 Top247 receiver Tyjon Lindsey says his latest offer comes from Alabama.

As expected the Crimson Tide become an immediate contender alongside the likes of USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Texas A&M.

When Waxahachie, Texas, wide receiver Jalen Reagor committed to Texas Tech in December, it did not come as a huge surprise.

The 6-foot, 189-pound junior is the son of former Red Raider defensive end Montae Reagor and received his first offer from Kliff Kingsburyand company.

However, since that time, the Dallas/Fort Worth area prospect has seen his stock soar. Wednesday's offers from Alabama and Oklahoma brought him up to an even dozen with others from the likes of Arkansas, Florida State and Texas A&M.

------- Miami Southridge (FL) tight end Kemore Gamble decommitted from Miami earlier this week, doing so after a wildly impressive showing at The Opening Regional in Miami. He is looking at several other schools - including the Hurricanes - and plans to take several trips this summer and fall. West Virginia is currently one of those trips, but the Mountaineers will have some tough competition as Alabama and Tennessee are considered the top contenders for his signature.

Nick Saban, Alabama

SEASONS AT ALABAMA: 9

RECORD AT ALABAMA: 100-18

2016 RECRUTING RANKING: 1

“He’s a businessman. That’s what he is, a businessman. It’s all serious all the time. I have never seen him laugh. He’s not intimidating or anything … to me. I’m sure once you get on the team, that changes.” – Three-star defensive back CJ Avery

“He’s way more serious than the other coaches, but he’s not really into the recruiting. He just tells you to go have fun and go help your team on Friday nights.”– Rivals250 wide receiver DeVonta Smith

“He’s serious. He’s straight up with you. He gives it to you without sugarcoating anything. He tells players straight up, ‘If you don’t work hard, we will send you home.’ He’s not gonna lie to anyone.” – Rivals100 ATH Bruce Jordan-Swilling

“People say that Nick Saban doesn’t smile a lot, but he does. And it’s not like he’s mean or anything. He’s just very serious about this stuff. College football is his business. He’s basically the opposite of Coach (Les) Miles, who is kinda, like, always happy.” – Rivals100 offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood

“He gets straight down to business when you talk to him. It’s not joking or small talk. It’s right to the point.” – Rivals250 defensive end Chris Allen

“Coach Saban is about nothing but business when he’s on the field.” – Five-star linebacker Dylan Moses
