Browning wanted Bama and his mom wanted Osu before the in-homes. Has that ever happened since Saban has been here, except for Landon Collins' lunatic mom ?

LC's Mom was an odd situation because he didn't live with her, and she was all pro-LSU and pro Les
And I believe how the story went was that he actually didn't tell HER that he was picking Bama until right before the decision on live TV that he had asked her to come to
And the rest as they say....is history

On a better note, we seem to be in the process of winning over Aubrey Solomon's parents. By all reports that I've seen, he had a blowout visit, and we're suddenly liking where we are with him.

She was a raving lunatic, both on the camera and behind the scenes. I hope Landon (who is suddenly blowing up into a superstar in the NFL) is cutting her off.

Should be fun to watch those guys at A-Day.

Solomon's mother already had a favorable opinion of Saban's structure.

She did, but he always says something in his interviews like we're not trying to win over the family like Ugag is. Goes against pretty much every other recruit's comments you ever hear.

The younger brother (who went to Fla and is now at Miami) lived with her and he didn't end up at LSU either although he was committed to them for a while.
In a totally separate scenario, I remember Alex Collins' Mom who grabbed his LOI to Arkansas on NSD and ran out of the gym with it
She was pro Miami I believe since they were from that area, I believe it was Alex Collins
He ended up at Arkansas anyway

My Ohio State buddy just text me saying Tosh DID make the trip and visited Baron.
FWIW Browning posted a pic of him with the tOSU staff two hours ago, but no pic with any Alabama staff.

There was a UGA lb that wanted to come to Bama. Mom wanted Florida. UGA was the compromise.

I gotta say the Ohio State "insiders" are kicking the shite out of "ours" when it comes to Browning updates.

Richt convinced Jenkins' mom that Tuscaloosa was a dangerous place, right?
Wasn't that Jenkins?

Tua article: LINK
quote:
“I’m graduating early so that’s something I know,” Tagovailoa told USA TODAY from St. Louis High. “I committed to Alabama. I gave them my word. That’s that. I talked to my parents about this LSU offer, and they have their quarterback committed already (four-star Louisiana senior Lowell Narcisse). If they’re really trying hard and interested in me we should be getting calls today or this week.
“I speak with Coach Saban on FaceTime every Sunday, and it does make me feel good that he’s committed to that with me and we have connected so much.”
quote:
As for the future, for now Tagovailoa keeps coming back to Alabama. He hasn’t ruled anything out officially, but it’s clear his priorities are competing to the best of his abilities in San Antonio, in front of a rapt military crowd, and then making an impact in Tuscaloosa, where he insisted freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts’ success was more inspirational than it was concerning about his own future prospects.
“It gets me excited that Coach Saban does stick with his claim that the best will play in every situation,” Tagovailoa said. “The opportunity to see that Jalen got to play sparks a fire under me. It excites me that he stayed true to his word, not that he started a freshman. Every kid who is getting recruited by colleges wants to hear and see that.
“In a year, in a perfect world I still believe I’ll be at Alabama if everything works out the right way.”

This interview makes me nervous. Not about Tua coming to Bama, he is coming 110%. More along the line of his expectations when he gets here.

I know this will go in the OSU insiders think they getting errybody but some ate saying Trey Smith is a good shot with tennessse faltering? I still think that's a huge long shot myself. They are saying Karelia said >50% chance right now?
Browning may still decide today and I think OSU is as confident as Bama was Monday
