Auburn's 247 site asked recruits to predict the Iron Bowl. Here's their responses:
quote:
Alabama, 42-20." - 4-star defensive end Markaviest Bryant of Cordele (Ga.) Crisp County.
"20-17 ... Auburn with the upset." -- 4-star Auburn offensive tackle commit Austin Troxell of Madison Academy (Ala.).
"21-17 Auburn." -- 4-star 2018 linebacker Quay Walker of Cordele (Ga.) Crisp County.
"Auburn by nine." -- 3-star defensive end Alec Jackson of Montgomery (Ala.) Jeff Davis
"28-17 Auburn... PETTWAY is BACK!!!! And the defense won't give up big plays. I think we will get after the quarterback and that will win the game for us, corralling him!" -- 4-star Auburn cornerback commit Malcolm Askew of McCalla (Ala.) McAdory.
"I think Alabama will win easily unless Auburn comes out with a good scheme to try to score against those guys ... but it will be hard for Bama considering the Auburn front seven has been playing lights out this year." -- 3-star Louisville athlete commit Malik Cunningham of Montgomery (Ala.) Park Crossing.
"I got Auburn." -- 4-star Auburn receiver commit Noah Igbinoghene of Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville.
"It's definitely going to be a close game. I think Bama wins by three." -- 4-star defensive end LaBryan Ray of Madison (Ala.) James Clemens.
"I say 38-21 Alabama. My thoughts are if Auburn locks down on defense it's gonna be one amazing game." -- 3-star offensive tackle Jordan Tucker of Roswell (Ga.).
"28-21 Auburn!" -- 4-star Auburn athlete commit Alaric Williams of Gadsden (Ala.) Southside.
"10-7 Auburn." -- 4-star Auburn linebacker commit Kenney Britt of Oxford (Ala.).
"28-24 Auburn of course. Season records don't matter; this is always a hard-fought game." -- 3-star Auburn safety commit Jordyn Peters of Muscle Shoals (Ala.).
"I think it's gonna be a really good game. Alabama defense vs Auburn offense. I don't know who's gonna win the game to be honest." -- 4-star offensive lineman Caleb Chandler of Jefferson (Ga.).
"27-23 Bama." -- 2018 running back Harold Joiner of Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook.
"I think it will be a defensive battle early and the offenses will heat up late and AU will shock the world 23-20." -- 4-star Auburn linebacker commit Chandler Wooten of Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb.
"Auburn 24, Bama 21." -- 3-star 2018 Auburn athlete commit Shaun Shivers of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep.
"24-17 Auburn -- just watch." -- Auburn 4-star quarterback commit Joey Gatewood of Jacksonville (Fla.) Bartram Trail.
"Bama 35, Auburn 24." -- 4-star defensive end Ryan Johnson of Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's Episcopal.
"Alabama by 14." -- 4-star defensive back Deangelo Gibbs of Loganville (Ga.).
Nick Brahms just added: "24-17 Auburn. Can't wait to watch the upset"
"I feel like auburn is gonna beat Alabama !!!" -- 4-star offensive guard Jordan Agasiva of Pima Community College (Ariz.)

Prince wanted to commit to Bama, but the staff wouldn't take the commitment at that time. Prince committed anyway, though the staff didn't accept it. Then 3 days later Prince flipped his commitment to OSU.
The staff was waiting to see what another OL prospect would do.
The same thing happened with Vonn Bell, minus the commitment to Bama.

Prince was 3rd choice and kinda stewed on that fact right after he committed.
I don't think Eddy Piniero forgave Bama either offering after UF.

With Texas losing, I assume Herman will go there and L5U will be stuck with Coach O
My favorite is that O will bring in Kiffin as OC. I'm sorry, but if Kiffin leaves it will be for a HC job, not a lateral (if you could call it that).

This does not concern me but I can not remember if Coach O and Sark get along because bringing in Sark would be a good hire for OC.

I fully expect Kiffin to take a Head Coaching job out west and Sark to be Bama's OC.

LSU better lock something down because as they wait to figure it out coaches like Fedora who was on their short list may end up in College Station this winter.

Pretty common knowledge that Prince got upset at Bama slow playing him. You guys will win some recruiting battles against us in any case. But Prince got upset that we slow played him for Drew Richmond (sigh). Our bungling was your gain in this case.

A look at the top visitors in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC and Pac-12...

For the third straight week, Scout 100 offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson is hitting the road as he takes in the Iron Bowl. The Alabama target already tripped to Michigan and Florida State, and Georgia is on the dockett for Dec. 9. Wilson, the No. 49 prospect in the nation, is paying careful attention to the coaching staff during his visits. Melding with them is important.

Michigan received the first official visit from Aubrey Solomon, Alabama gets the second. Solomon recently said Michigan was his top school, but Alabama has always been right in the thick of this race with Clemson and Georgia. His mother is a part of his recruitment and she will be with him this weekend.

Stanford Samuels III is a Florida State legacy and he has dreamed of being a Seminole. He has questions though with Jimbo Fisher's name being connected to LSU somewhere almost every day. Alabama has already received an official visit and Georgia will get one December 9. Michigan is still in this as well. Samuels III is an early enrollee.

Alabama is in a good spot despite Alex Leatherwood taking visits to numerous other schools. Florida is the biggest threat to Alabama right with Michigan still hanging around as well. This official visit could seal the deal for the Crimson Tide with Leatherwood graduating next month.

Ohio State hopes to pull one from the South here. Trey Smith is a top offensive tackle in Tennessee who has been considered a big Vols lean for months now. Alabama and Ole Miss has had him on campus for official visits already, so this will be the Buckeyes' chance to make their move.

This is big. Jacoby Stevens said for months that he was only going to visit LSU from here on out. Since committing, Les Miles has been fired, so Stevens may have some concerns. Alabama was at one time considered the favorite to land Stevens until the week that he committed where the Tigers gained momentum.

If there is one to be put on Flip Watch this week, it would be Shaun Wade. He is another early enrollee, and Alabama has been considered a threat to Ohio State. Florida is another school to watch here. He has family in Tuscaloosa (Ala.) and Montgomery (Ala.), and Wade recently told Scout that parts of his family would love to see him play for the Crimson Tide

Marvin Wilson put Ohio State in his public top grouping after taking an official visit to Oklahoma for the Buckeyes big win in Norman, Okla. The trip to see No. 2 Ohio State take on No. 3 Michigan will be a big one with a unique atmosphere. Many have always felt that a school in the Southern half of the country would have the best shot at Wilson at the end of the day but Ohio State’s Larry Johnson has won his fair share of recruiting battles and Ohio State has its fair share of defensive minds on its staff with Luke Fickell and Greg Schiano. Wilson has previously visited Florida State as well.

You can go ahead and put the five-star outside linebacker from Kennedale (Texas) High, Baron Browning on commit watch as his Nov. 29th decision date approaches and he only has one official visit remaining with the Buckeyes before he makes his announcement. Browning has made previous stops in at UCLA, Alabama, Florida State and Michigan. In the Big 12 he has TCU --- the school where his father Barry Browning starred -- in his final six and has visited that campus more than a dozen times this year. It will be interesting to see who he picks in the end. He will be announcing that final decision on his father’s birthday.

Former Alabama quarterback Blake Barnett, now at Palomar JC (Calif.) will take an official visit to Washington State this weekend. Barnett has unofficially visited Arizona State twice and Cal this year. He'll likely officially visit both programs and Oregon and Washington have been in contact as well. Barnett will be able to enroll for spring ball and despite playing in three games this season, is eligible to play next fall.
