I have a hard time seeing us take a Juco LB.
If he's good, he's good.
Lost 3 Seniors after '15, lose 3 more in '16.
Bringing in 2 studs in Davis and Wilson helps, but not a complete solution numbers wise. They may also hurt as far as trying to attract multiple elite players, as Bama signing those 2 will obviously be pitched against them. USCe already talking that type of stuff on Bama.
He's essentially an extension of the instate LB class for '17, and he might be better than all of them. He's a little further along physically, which speeds up his chances of contribution...

He must be special ...wouldn't have gotten an offer if they didn't feel he'd play immediately.

His film looks good for sure.

I don't think our staff views Wilson and Davis as instant impact players, so this offer doesn't surprise me. Redfish mentioned that CNS looks to sign at least 4 guys viewed as 1st round draft picks if nothing unforeseen happens. We signed 5 of those this past class, but neither Wilson nor Davis were on that list (It was Jonah Williams, Baldwin, Hall, Mayden, and Knott). Wilson and Davis have the talent (along with some others we signed) to be 1st rounders, but are viewed as development guys.

Incidentally, Bob Foster will either switch to jersey #1, or #4 if Charlot switches to #1. ROFL at the transfer concern here. This place sometimes...

He'll have to get more physical. I expect him to follow the Ragland plan, but hopefully be ready sooner. I expect he'll develop into a first round pick. We'll be fine with Reuben and Evans at ILB this year, with SDH starting against the physical teams like L5U.

Evans at inside??? I doubt it. I really hop Holcombe gets a shot. Really want to see what he can do.

Yea.. uh I don't see Evans playing inside.

I hope that they move Evans inside with Foster

Evans to ILB has been around as long as he's been on campus.

It will be interesting to see what goes down I think Evans is good but we do have players that he will have to jump. He might be right though we have so many rush outside LBs. We haven't even seen Christian Miller yet.

The plan is to move Evans to ILB this Spring. As Magilla said, it's been around for a while. But Redfish and others have been saying that the staff is hoping Evans will take over a spot at ILB. We're loaded at OLB.

Year 3 for Christian Miller coming up

There was a time when I was against Evans to ILB, but with how stacked we are with pass rushers, I'd love it. Imagine the athleticism.

Did you read the above 10 or so posts, or just my last post? He'll likely start against L5U, I agree. Read the thread.

SDH is the next great ILB for the Tide. Ragland or Foster didn't do anything until their Jr years, when they became a superstar. Hamilton has played more then they did their freshman and sophomore years. Don't write him off.
