Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal extended an offer to 2018 receiver Daquris Wiggins out of Miami (Fla.) Southridge on Wednesday afternoon, a source tells 247Sports' Ryan Bartow.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Wiggins has been committed to Miami since October.

The Crimson Tide joins Georgia and West Virginia and Temple as the programs in the race for the up-and-coming receiver's talents.

Wiggins' caught 15 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore.

I posted this on the SEC Recruiting board, but how in the world do you watch this video and have him rated only a low to mid 3*? How is this not one of the top 50 players in the country? Just so explosive and productive.

In recent weeks, McKinney told BamaOnline that he hadn’t been hearing from Alabama much. With the staff vacancies and National Signing Day, the four-star safety understood why the staff would be occupied, but admits the conversation with Ansley was needed.

“Yeah a little,” Ansley said whether the conversation made him feel better about Alabama. “He just said that will never happen again, and that made me feel better. We are straight now.”

McKinney also said he wants our staff to still recruit him like he is uncommitted.

Demetric Warren CB'd ILB Monty Rice to Alabama.

He has been about 24-48 hours ahead of the recruiting services with these picks for guys without offers who then get one. Meaning he has been putting in CBs for guys (LaBryan Ray, Akiel Byers, Justin Thomas, etc.) a day or two before the sites post they are offered.

So, in this case, I assume an offer is coming shortly for Monty Rice.

We could have a problem on our hands in regards to our WR spots in this class:

Jeff Thomas
Jerry Jeudy
DeVonta Smith
Henry Ruggs III
Nick Collins

Do we have room for 5 guys? I highly doubt it.

You make a pass early and see who bites. See if the instate guys want in to build the basis of the WR class.

You might be able to finagle Smith as an athlete, as he projects as a CB too.

I think 4 is a good number, some of them are different WR types...

Well we need a "size" guy in this class so Collins is a must get IMO.

DrewD and Redfish saying we likely sign at least 4 WRs in 2017. Originally were going to take 4 in 2016, but we see how that worked out. Fortunately, it looks like the two we signed in 2015 (Ridley and Charlot) are both special. A TON of buzz on Charlot. Although based on us signing Dieter and trying so hard for Keith Gavin and AJ Brown, I'd imagine we try to sign at least one BIG strong WR.

My predictions for numbers in the 2017 class based on nothing but a guess and pure WAYYYY too early speculation.

QB- 1
RB- 2
TE- 2
WR- 4
OL- 4
DL- 6
LB- 3
DB- 4

26 total. If Wasson, the walk-on PK coming in, doesn't look promising, I guess we'd sign a kicker. But hopefully he's the real deal.

I know this isn't about football. However, read this on LSU melt over the BB win: Cracked me up!

Analyst are starting to question Collins' speed, mainly since they have nothing to go on otherwise. He hasn't camped much at all, really game clip are all they've seen.
