I talked to a coach over the weekend at the Elite 11 who said he was just in the right place, knew what to do, great attitude and was really just a guy has all those tools and intangibles you look for.”
Simmons went on to give Alabama the crown in one specific area.
“With this get, I think Alabama has the best quarterback recruiting class in the country,” he said.
Jones, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect, is rated the No. 14 pro-style quarterback and the No. 284 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Dang, I've been away from the board for a week with family in town from California fishing everyday and all kinds of stuff happened. Can't believe we got Mac Jones too! 2 stud qb's in the same class is unusual for us. As I thought, Elliot Baker committed after visiting. Don't be discouraged by the lack of our past juco Ol play. Baker is a stud! Looks like Benton is Bama bound friday. This was a little bit of a shock to me, as I thought he was barn bound. Roll Tide brothers! Hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial day weekend!

Kipp Adams CB'd Benton to Bama and CB'd Ignont to Auburn. I think if we get Benton that could explain the flip flopping from Ignont.

Will Ignont will be announcing this week either Thursday or Friday. Keith Niebuhr changed his CB to Foggy. It could go either way. BOL will put up shortly who they expect him to choose.
