I have to disagree with you on the underlined part. I can't really remember a Signing Day during the Saban era with this much uncertainty at key positions.
We have seen this staff lose considerable momentum on supposed locks in January. That just doesn't happen, so we are in uncharted territory. Surely the staff will close strong but this is not a "same thing every year" situation by any means.

It's not strange. We just haven't gotten all of our commits during the season. It's a 2008-2009 type recruiting year

That's the thing. College football has become path to the NFL over team success for bluechip recruits over the last couple years. That is what makes me love the players that do come here because they come ready to play football.
