BOL came out with Nuggets yesterday, according to them Bama and Mississippi State are tied at the top for Simmons with Ole Miss lurking. Fwiw

Getting Brown and Simmions would be fantastic. Flex our muscle a littler bit in the Landmass. Hopefully, maybe, helps keep Akers in the fold.

Jimmy Smith has a touch of homer BS in him don't he?

quote:

ere we go. Shyheim initially saw himself at LSU. The Tigers were slower than a few other programs in extending an offer, though. Kids don't understand the thorough vetting process they implore with in-state prospects. It didn't sit well with him initially. After a visit to Alabama, where they pushed for an early commitment, he kind of buckled and pulled the trigger.

So Alabama pressured the poor kid and he cracked, huh Jimmy?

No fanbase can crawfish like lsu.

I saw that as well and forgot to mention it. Dang I can't imagine having two kids that young but definitely understand why he would stay closer.

The funny part about that whole narrative is the kids have been a factor since day 1, so this isn't a new development or anything. He spoke about how each of his previous top schools (Alabama/Georgia/Ole Miss) were great in dealing with the fact that he had children.

Something else has changed in that situation, so who knows what's really going on.

2 kids before you are out of high school, probably not the best decision maker in the world. most likely ends up at lsu

David Palmer, Rueben Foster, and several of our current/former players would agree.
