Sounds like UT is upping the ante on Warrior, Gibbs, and is willing to take several of their teammates. Our lead for those guys may be short lived.

Well hell, Jones will sign them all and just cut them, he signs 40 a year. No skin off his back.

Maybe people have become desensitized to oversigning, but I'm surprised at the lack of flack Tennessee has gotten over it. There were a handful of attack blogs solely dedicated to Alabama's use of it during Saban's first few years. Daily threads on tRant. Etc.

UA could cure cancer and we'd catch flack for it on the rant. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Its only a big deal when you are winning championships. Everyone knew what Saban + Bama meant.

Moses is ranked No. 2 nationally, behind only Marvin Wilson, No. 1 in Louisiana and as the No. 1 athlete in the Class of 2017. While Moses is obviously still very young, he is no stranger to the spotlight as he first emerged back in 2012 at the LSU Camp as an eighth grader, when he outperformed many of the top upperclassmen in attendance. LSU, which actually offered him prior to the camp, was automatically considered the favorite due to its proximity to Moses. However, it wasn't expected that Moses would end his recruiting process as early as he did. Calling LSU his "dream school", Moses decided to end his process, even though he already had offers from the majority of the top programs in the country. However, in recent weeks Moses has de-committed from LSU and has opened the recruiting process. LSU still has a great chance here, but many feel Alabama could be the team to beat.

Farrell's Take: The biggest question with Moses still remains - what position will he play? That was the main reason he wasn't our initial No. 1 in the 2017 class despite his amazing athleticism. Some think he could grow into the next Jadeveon Clowney as a defensive end, while others feel he will be a dominant outside linebacker or a huge, physical running back. Regardless, he is one of the most gifted players I've ever seen in high school and he still has two years left. He was the most developed eighth grader I've seen back when LSU offered.

Tyrie Cleveland article:

quote:

But Cleveland, a 6-foot-2 1/2, 189-pound wide receiver from Spring (Texas) Westfield sticks out to me because of his scary combination of size and speed. He posted a 4.32 40-yard dash and a 3.94 pro-shuttle at The Opening finals and backed up those times with production on the field. He was one of the most dominant players there.

As a junior in 2014, Cleveland also proved that he can produce, racking up 1,105 yards and 13 scores against tough 15-6A competition.

He is a player who you have to respect vertically, but has the skills to get open underneath and then rack up yardage after the catch. Cleveland has TCU listed amongst his leaders and would be a big-time playmaker in the TCU fast-paced offense.

Jaquan Yulee article from BOL summarized by Magilla:

quote:

*Took a trip to VT with his teammate Devon Hunter, went good but people assumed too much. Just wanted to go visits with his friend.
*Planning his official for the Bama/LSU game, and Hunter will likely be in tow.
*Teams have been coming after him harder since he committed, VT recruiting him the hardest.
*Plants to visit them officially when they play tOSU. Will also take other officials.
*Solid to Bama.
*Talks with Coach Saban and Lupoi 2 times a week, tell him to stay focused and keep his grades up.
*Has been recruiting for Bama on the likes of Hunter, Mack Wilson, Trevon Diggs, and even guys committed to Bama.
*Thinks he can get Diggs, thinks it will come down to Bama and FSU for him.
*Was familiar with some of the commits at The Opening, but also familiar with some players on the roster likes Da'Shawn Hand and DJ Pettway.

Miller Forristall article from TideSports summarized by Magilla:

quote:

TideSports:

*His HS had a fall scrimmage the other day, won 42-0. Went up 35-0 at half time, he only played 2 quarters and had 4 catches for 70 yards.
*Felt better as a player out there, bigger, faster, stronger than he was a year ago. Really getting into his routes.
*Plays TE, WR, H-Back, and OLB. Starts on both sides.
*Planning on as many games as he can attend, official to likely be for the LSU or Ole Miss game.
*Keeps in touch with the staff, talkes with Coach Williams. He's excited for him to be there in January.
*Expects Bama to be Bama, in it for the NC every year. Hopes to see OJ Howard have a big year.
*Cal has been on him hard, has been in constant contact. plans on taking an official out there.

Free Article regarding our TE Commit Brendan Scales

quote:

“Some of my friends took a video when Alabama offered me. At the time, I had a Mizzou shirt on,” Scales said. “I've always wanted to go to Mizzou.”

Only he soured on the Tigers. He was invited to Mizzou's Junior Day in the winter and was given the impression an offer was coming. Only the Tigers didn't offer him. The coaches told Scales they needed to review his film. Scales was devastated and hurt.

A month or so later, the Tigers did offer Scales, but there was a caveat. Mizzou wanted him to play defensive end. Considering the program's track record of developing defensive talent, asking him to play that position could be taken as a compliment. Scales didn't see it that way. “I was a little bit salty,” Scales said. “They wanted me to play D-end and I don't want to play D-end.”

But now that he's headed to Alabama, Scales doesn't have to worry about that. The Crimson Tide want him as a tight end, and with good reason. The hulking Scales ran on the Lafayette 1,600-meter relay team. Big, fast and done with recruiting, Scales is at peace as his senior season begins. “My dad told me I was on edge. When I committed I calmed down and I felt that way,” Scales said. “It was a big weight off my shoulders for sure.”

There's a lot more at the link. It was too much to condense.

No some idiot keeps down voting every time some one makes a response. I couldn't care less but think it's funny someone doesn't have a life.

I have a corndog downvoter as evidenced by the Dylan Moses post. I can think of 21 things I'd rather do with my time than downvote every post in a rival team's thread, but this corndog must be a total 0.

Downvote if you got your arse kicked by Bama.

Nick Eubanks' brother and Alabama basketball signee, Kobie Eubanks, didn't qualify to enroll in the Fall.

I wonder if that will cause Nick to back off from having us as his leader.

So this Brad Shepard guy, a Tennessee 247 writer, decided to go HAM on the Class of 2017 Crystal Ball Prediction establishment last night.

He predicted Alabama to land all of these players in less than 4 minutes:

Kendall Randolph
Malcolm Askew
William Poole III
Jerry Jeudy
Nico Collins
Nate McBride
Wyatt Davis
