Thompson announced over the weekend that he planned to make his college selection this Friday. The final five for Thompson are Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan and Mississippi State.
Prior to Alabama's offer to Thompson, the Bulldogs of Mississippi State led due to the experiences Thompson's former teammates Beniquez Brown and Kivon Coman were having in Starkville. With the camp sessions over and his senior season on the horizon, it appears the Bulldogs are once again the serious player for Thompson's commitment.

I was told by redfish early last Fall that people close to the Bama program thought Jennings had a decent shot to be the top player in the state for 2016. Not sure what happened with that, but I do know that the coaches are very high on him. Very instinctive player like his brother, and a playmaker.

That makes a lot of sense. Sign right after Patterson who will have over an entire season on you and probably will be starting. Wouldn't play until he was 21 years old.
