3 LB Nate McBride (2017)
Vidalia, Ga.

The only underclassman to make this list, McBride will be making waves for the next few years. He has elite athleticism and is a track star in the offseason. McBride was caught a little bit off guard early in the day but he quickly adjusted and started making plays. He was especially impressive during the 7-on-7 tournament. There weren't many players that could gain separation against McBride.

So we lead for the Top 3 LB performers. Nice.

8 LB Jaquan Yulee
Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River

Inside linebackers a placed at a severe disadvantage in the camp setting, but Yulee had a lot of success. During one-one-ones, the recent Alabama commit was very physical with running backs and tight ends and made sure they did not get much separation. Yulee's length made it very difficult for quarterbacks to get the ball to their receivers. During the seven-on-seven tournament Yulee always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He should have had two interceptions, but he dropped both of them.

This Flowers thing looks just like the Alfy Hill situation from a few years back.

For his sake I hope it doesn't derail his career like Hill's. He went from possibly being a starting Freshman at Alabama to enrolling in 6 different colleges in 3 years.

Does the Flowers thing mean we have to forfeit the A Day game?

Our RB depth is a big concern now. Harris better be the real deal. If there are ANY decent transfer backs on the market we better seal the deal. We need bodies...bad.

TYLER SIMMONS NOT DECIDING ALONE
Chad SimmonsChad Simmons
National Recruiting Analyst

POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. - Are things starting to become clearer in the recruiting process for Tyler Simmons? Three schools he has recently visited stand out to him and he talks about those, his upcoming decision, and how it is not only his decision, but he will have help...

A decision is coming later this summer for speedy wide receiver Tyler Simmons, but who is still in the running?

The 2016 prospect out of Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern is not quite ready to name finalists, but he was ready to name three schools that are high on his list. Those are Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M.

Simmons has visited all three schools over the last few weeks and each had things that stood out to him. The 5-foot-11, 191 pound playmaker is not going to make his decision alone either - both his mother and father are involved, and they will be part of the college choice.

UGA247 site had this to say about Simmons:

quote:

WR Tyler Simmons (Powder Springs, Ga./McEachern

Simmons emerged with a Georgia offer in May, and since then, North Carolina, Cal, Alabama, Texas A&M and Nebraska have offered the recently-named four-star wideout. Although defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt initially made the offer for the Bulldogs, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon have since assured Simmons he has a spot in their wide receiver corps if he wants it. Simmons plans to make his decision before the end of August. Recent Bulldogs commitment and 2017 Top247 quarterback Bailey Hockman (Powder Springs, Ga./McEachern) will surely remind his teammate of the opportunity to continue connecting on passes at the next level.

I saw Hill and P Sims play his past fall for WSSU and Sims was the leader passer as QB and Hill I think finished with 8 sacks. Both by the way signed rookie free agent contracts with the Arizona Cardinals. So hopefully they can the roster.

Sims is in great shape for the 3rd QB job, he wowed Arians with his knowledge of calls.

Logan Thomas is about to get the boot, he on the other hand has drawn the ire of Arians by still struggling with the offense.

Logan was a major hit or miss prospect. Amazing physical talent but mentally it's never been there.

Springhill (La.) North Webster 4-star athlete Devin White took to Twitter on Wednesday night to inform people he knew where he wanted to go to college, but wanted to be 150-percent sure because everyone has something good to offer.

White will most likely choose between LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss or Arkansas. The Crystal Ball favors LSU with 83-percent picking the Tigers. White has visited all four of his favorites and holds offers from many others. White is possibly as good as any linebacker in the nation this year, but also happens to be a great tailback and that's what the schools are recruiting him to play.

As a junior in 2014, White carried 270 times for 2,287 yards and 30 touchdowns while having 93 tackles on defense.

According to sources, White is closely checking out the depth chart at each school. It appears he wants to go to a school where he could be utilized in his first college game much like Alex Collins was his freshman year at Arkansas.

Arkansas has his cousin, Jared Cornelius on the team, and there's no chance he wouldn't have a chance to be heavily showcased as a true freshman. Jonathan Williams and Kody Walker are both seniors while Collins is a junior who could exit one year early for the 2016 NFL Draft if he has a great junior season.

Arkansas only signed one tailback in the Class of 2015. Rawleigh Williams is a promising prospect who the Hogs think could help this fall. But still help is needed at running back at Arkansas in the Class of 2016 and that's the top priority for Bret Bielema and his staff.

I'm bored, so here is my current guess on how we fill out this class if we sign 26. The ones in bold are the ones who are currently uncommitted. That score would be 301.9 on the class calculator as it stands right now. That score would be good enough for third place last year which is about where I think we will land.

QB- Jalen Hurts (I don't think we add Pass FWIW)
RB- Devin White and Devwah Whaley (Going out on a limb big time)
OL- Charles Baldwin, Jonah Williams, Deonte Brown, Chris Owens (I think we are done here unless Little flips)
TE- Nick Eubanks, Miller Forristall, Brendan Scales (I think we might get Eubanks in a package deal with his brother who plays basketball)
WR- TJ Simmons Darnell Salomon and Demetris Robertson (Ideal case scenario IMO)

DT- Kendell Jones and Michail Carter (I think we get Landmass'd by Raekwon Davis)
DE- Xavier Kelly Quinnen Williams
LB- Ben Davis, Mack Wilson, Jaquan Yulee, Riley Cole, Dontavious Jackson
DB- Shyheim Carter, Joshua Perry, Shawn Jennings (I think we add Jennings by the end of this summer)

K- Eddy Pineiro

Thoughts?

Add two more players. Bone thinks we take 28.

Throw in Greg Little and Marlon Davidson just for shits and giggles.

If we finish #3 in the nation and fill our needs after the slow start we got off to with this class, I'll be stoked.

The main areas where this class is still lacking is RB and WR on offense, and we need some DE's(more than 2 in this class), backers and a stud safety. We do that, and this class is as good as any. We REALLY need two stud RB's in this class with Drake graduating and Henry maybe going pro early. Really a bit surprised we don't already have a 5-star RB committed with our history with the position coupled with our depth chart next year.
