Nah, Donald was absolutely dominant; maybe the best interior lineman in the league. As much as I love C.J. it was a two-man race between Donald and Mack.

Donald is deserving but it was actually a 2 man race between Donald and CJ not Donald and Mack. CJ received 18 votes compared to 6 for Mack

1. Watt
2. Suh
3. Dareus

As far as DL goes. Not sure if you just meant DT. Watt could be a DT

Ehh, Dareus has had a better career than Suh to date.

Dareus averaging 50.5 tackles and 7.125 sacks per year

Suh averaging 47.6 tackles and 7.2 sacks per year.

So they're really close. Dareus has progressed moreso than Suh though, and isn't a complete tPOS

Suh is such a badass. They thing is, when I see him make a dirty hit, it's like the other team is genuinely scared to retaliate. How many cheap shots has he taken? Any other player in the league gets mauled by the entire O line if they did some of the things Suh does. But it's like they're scared to frick with him. That shite is impressive.

There has been very little news around 4-star Daylon Charlot. You may recall he has twice committed and then decommitted from Alabama. The story is that he is getting major pressure from family, friends, teachers, the mailman, the dog catcher, and everyone else in Patterson, LA to go to LSU. I expect him to announce on NSD so that he can keep the barbarians at bay. Don't be surprise if he puts on a crimson hat with a script "A". [UPDATE: Saban is visiting Charlot today.]

K.J. Hill is another name that hasn't gone away just yet. The North Little Rock receiver had an in-home visit by Nick Saban and receivers coach Billy Napier on Wednesday. He is also considering Arkansas and Ohio State.

One last dark horse possibility is Jovon Durante. It is hard to understand why a guy from Miami would commit to West Virginia when there are so many other better suitors out there but he has done it. Alabama thought they had a flip at A-Day last April but it did not materialize. That said, until the ink is dry and the fax goes through, don't count this 4-star out.

By now you may or may not have heard about the aforementioned 6-8/250 lbs DE/TE Prince Tega Wanogho. The other native Nigerian is a very raw but intriguing prospect. At the time of his recent reclassification to the Class of 2015 from 2016 just weeks ago, it looked like he would get lost in the numbers crunch at Bama. However with the defections of the three, it is possible he could join the Tide. With everything sped up as it has, coupled with his recent leg injury, it is likely he may not decide until after NSD.

Every other recruiting writer out there wants to tell you that Bama has a shot at 5-star CeCe Jefferson. But I am not buying it. The Florida defensive end was visited by Tide coaches this week but I think he just enjoys the attention.

Barnett reminds coaches of Sims

Barnett, who enrolled this month, is a five-star quarterback from Corona, California, and part of Alabama’s top-ranked recruiting class.

His signing signaled a change in philosophy for coach Nick Saban. Instead of exclusively using old-school pocket passers, Sims presented Saban with an experiment into mobile quarterbacks. Because the 2014 offense was the most productive in Alabama history, the new style remains.

Barnett, at 6-foot-4, 198 pounds, was a standout for Santiago High coach Jeff Steinberg.

“With him being such a very high level athlete, you are not going to sign a better young man with a high work ethic,” Steinberg said. “He always had aspirations to play at the next level. He kept his nose to the grindstone. After the recruiting took off, he worked even harder.”

Barnett is ranked the No. 2 pro-style quarterback in the nation, according to 247 Sports. Rivals.com, however, considers him a dual-threat quarterback.

Steinberg describes him as a modern pocket passer who can keep plays alive with his feet.
“He’s like Blake Sims or Marcus Mariota,” Steinberg said. “His eyes are always down field looking to complete the pass while his feet are an added weapon.”

Barnett averaged 236.8 passing yards and 49.6 rushing yards per game in his two-plus seasons in high school. He threw 47 touchdowns and ran for 21.
His credentials and ability made Barnett a highly sought athlete. He originally committed to Notre Dame.

Saying he wanted to see others. Oregon and Alabama came into the picture, and the Crimson Tide won him over.

He and his is mother, Gina Harris, took a day trip to Tuscaloosa to see the campus. It turned into a three-day visit because Barnett liked it so much.

“He didn’t want to stay in California and wanted to go to a great school somewhere else,” Harris said. “He had goals he wanted, and he made the sacrifices.”
Barnett realized he could graduate a semester early during his junior year, and didn’t want to waste his time taking non-required classes as a senior.

“It made sense for him to get done early at his position,” Harris said. “He could be there for spring ball and get going early.”

The Crimson Tide has a lot of quarterbacks. Four are ahead of him on the roster.

Senior Jake Coker is expected to be the next starter, with Alec Morris, Cooper Bateman and David Cornwell competing for playing time.
All are prototypical pocket passers, so Barnett’s skillset stands out.

“I don’t think it matters that there are so many quarterbacks,” Steinberg said. “A school is going to bring in a new quarterback each year. He thrives on competition. He likes the ball in his hands when the game is on the line. He’s not intimidated.”
Barnett already embraced the athlete’s life on campus and is working toward showing his ability in the spring.

“He loves it there, and he’s been having a great time,” Harris said. “He’s been so busy with football and school that I don’t get to talk to him that much.”

In a lot of ways, yes. In a lot of ways no. Kind of tough to compare a city to a state.

I'd put the college age girls of Tuscaloosa against any group in California though

Lol stop.

USC and UCLA women are smokeshows. Yes, Tuscaloosa has its fair share of beautiful women but there is no comparison.

And you would be wrong. Hard to compare when you are from one place and biased to that location.

Do you realize in parts of California you have to search hard for a woman out of shape?

You have never been to San Diego, LA, etc...

If you have? You'd never say such a thing.
