Jay Williams had some issues which forced him to transfer though.

The NCAA put a end to this with DI football. If you play on the football team you count against the 85. So baseball, bball, track, or whatever scholarships count against football. Use to be a way football teams got around the number.

T Brown finished last in the finals yesterday because of a false start. But it shows you what kind of athlete he is. First indoor meet of the season and he is maybe been with the track team for what less than 2 weeks because of football. Just jumps right in and competes with the fastest athletes with no issue. Wait until he gets to his specialty hurdles. Brown will see the field a lot next spring.

-Mekhi OVd to Louisville this weekend with Khane Pass (Jawon Pass unofficial visited)
-Josh Harvey-Clemons was his host.
-They talked to him about playing right away.
-Louisville is now second on his list

-100% committed to Alabama

Lawrence Cager via 247

-hosted by Robert Foster. Thinks Rob Foster is very talented and hardworking. Rob Foster was talking up the program and how Bama treats theirs players.
-Spoke with Coop for an hour. Coop told him to come to Bama and be the next man up.
-Rico and McMillon heavily recruited Cager
-His parents liked the visit. Liked Alabama's graduation rate for football players.
-will take an OV to Miami next week.
-will sit down with his parents to decide sometime before NSD.

chatta's note: Really like hearing that Rico was heavily recruiting him. Also sounds like Rob Foster has a good attitude about UA.

Reading the Gerald Willis thread on the LSUrb is hilarious:

quote:

Good, let him wallow in misery for listening to his idiot brother. Now go have fun in JUCO.

I get it. So his ultimate transgression isn't being a total dumbfrick at UF, it's spurning LSU.

LC26, forever in their heads.

for yuse guys in the know. We don't have room for what we have already committed. Do we anticipate losing some of those to JUCO. NS does not do gray shirts unless someone was injured and needs more time to rehab. What gives.

TD Moton: he gone.
Montrell Custis: possibly gone.

Other than that it's a total crap shoot.

We've greyshirted at least a couple times in the past purely for numbers but I don't think that's expected to happen this cycle. There's usually one or two signees that are borderline qualifying so juco isn't outside the realm of possibility. But most likely there's more room under the 85 limit than there currently appears to be and there are always a handful of transfers following spring practice when players get an idea where they'll be on the depth chart for the upcoming year.

From the Aubs...

quote:

11:49 a.m. A source that spoke with 5-star Byron Cowart this weekend said Cowart told him if everything goes according to plan, he was coming to Auburn and bringing 5-star CeCe Jefferson and 4-star Jeffery Holland with him. Take it for what it's worth.
