Harris will be starting or at least getting 50/50 carries by his sophomore year....I think he's that talented.

Some UK fans were a little perturbed by Harris choosing Alabama LINK

We have those too. It's sad how pissed grown adults get about teenagers' decisions about where to go to college. These are kids making decisions about their own futures and careers, and we should be celebrating the fact that they are able to use their talents to get to college instead of deride them if they don't decide on ours. Sure we may be disappointed in missing out on some recruits but damn, we all need to get some perspective and STFU sometimes.

I understand being pissed on a message board, but anyone who goes on a kid's twitter and derides him for his decision needs to get his arse kicked.

Lol the backup plan tweet is pretty baffling. The number 1 RB is a backup plan. Yeah bro. Even kerryon johnson wouldnt have kept him from being in this class. Kerryon would have lined up in the slot and got "drake" carries and possibly played FS lol. He's the most complete and one of the top 5 best backs in the country to come out of HS since Richardson.
Gurley and Gordon weren't hyped. Fournette, Chubb to an extent, Henry, Yeldon, Harris. Everyone else that was kinda hyped dudded out.
Malcolm Brown, Jonathan Gray, Derrick Green, All the pure backs. Not scat backs

how do yall rank our remaining tackle prospects?
I say:
COV
Richmond
Prince
both in talent and in likelihood to sign

I'm inclined to say CO-V simply because it looks like a raw prospect who could develop well at Bama behind Big Cam. He has excelled in almost every camp setting because of strength and quick feet, makes for a phenomenal LT...IF DEVELOPED CORRECTLY.
Drew Richmond could likely play either side but at RT he's a lot like a Big Cam or Andre Smith type day 1 starter. Very polished and solid technique wise, needs footwork help a little
CO-V is gonna be the better player in the end I believe again with proper development
I'd love to get both
as bookends after this season
I'm excited to get to see Casher and Grant Hill battle for the G spot

don't forget Bozeman. I like Bozeman and Grant teaming up on the right side. Not sure what will happen with Dom Jackson next year.

Dom Jackson graduates doesn't he? I thought he played the last 2 years last yr sparingly

COV reminds me of Fluker. A very raw prospect that has the frame and strength to dominate after developing for a couple of years.

Dominick Jackson will be a senior this fall.

Lots of hate, especially from a "preacher"?
I'd love to read some melts, if all of a sudden UK basketball recruiting tanked.

Trayvon Mullen says he will decide before his senior season. He is a big priority for LSU.
-He says he talks to LSU almost every day.
-Apparently he has narrowed down his top twenty to a top seven:
TCU
Ohio State
LSU
Clemson
South Carolina
Ole Miss
Alabama
I'm not sure where he is on our board

It's a wrap, folks.
Alabama effectively clinched its fifth consecutive top-ranked recruiting class Friday afternoon by landing 5-star running back Damien Harris. The coveted playmaker announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide over fellow finalists Kentucky and Ohio State.
Harris, a 5'11", 205-pound All-American, was a four-year starter at Madison Southern High School in Berea, Kentucky. Despite missing substantial time as a senior due to leg injuries, he finished his career with 6,748 yards and 113 touchdowns on the ground.
He solidified his spot as a top-tier recruiting target in 2013, setting career highs for rushing yards (2,621) and scores (42). Harris, who spent six months as a Michigan pledge until January 2014, also considered offers from Florida and Texas A&M along the way.
So why are we so sure this locks things up for Alabama atop national rankings?
There may be more than three weeks remaining until national signing day, but let's take a look at the numbers.
With Harris on board, Alabama now holds a 24-point lead in 247Sports' composite class rankings, which is defined as "a proprietary algorithm that compiles rankings and ratings listed in the public domain by the major media recruiting services." Essentially, it's a melting pot of expert prospect assessments.
The margin between Nick Saban's squad and second-place Florida State is currently wider than the gap that separates the Seminoles and seventh-place Ohio State.
Simply put, it's insurmountable unless Saban leaves Tuscaloosa between now and Feb. 4.
Alabama holds commitments from 10 players who rank among the top five players at their respective positions.
Blake Barnett (No. 2 pro-style quarterback) and Deionte Thompson (No. 2 safety) are already on campus. The California passer, who played with Harris this summer at The Opening and last week in Under Armour All-America Game action, apparently played a role in the decision.
The latest collection of incoming Crimson Tide talent also includes 5-star prospects Calvin Ridley (No. 1 wide receiver), Kendall Sheffield (No. 3 cornerback) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (No. 5 cornerback).
Alabama fans may be "suffering" through a two-year national title drought, but reinforcements are en route. The acquisition of Harris ensures no team will welcome more new talent to campus this year.

I think Flowers will be the steal of the class. He hits the hole hard and always seems to gain positive yards and can really block well in some of his highlights. I also could see him on D with his speed.

Grant Hill battle for the G spot
Hill has some issues outside of his control that may keep him from ever reaching his potential. As Drew D said, there may have been some good news on that front and I seriously hope so.
