Saban recently visited four star linebacker Sh'mar Kilby-Lane. He has a top four of Bama, FSU, tOSU, LSU. Also plans to visit USC and West Virginia. LINK

Paging Sandkhan. Does that name meet your standards?

Alabama has offered three star TE Bowman Archibald. LINK

Apparently in 2015 we are going to unveil our five tight end offense that's going to wreck shite and change college football as we know it.

Well we haven't signed enough TEs IMO the last few cycles. That's why we were having to convert DEs and OTs into TEs last year.

Agreed. I always thought Malcolm Faciane was going to see the field. He can't get out of the doghouse.

Yeah I was hoping he would take over for BMW as the big blocking TE. Could also be that's he's just not very good, idk

I'm not sure what the scary thing is with the HUNH. If you have matched their personnel on first down with your package, then why the disadvantage to the defense if the offense snaps the ball quickly? Line up and play! Personally, every time I saw AU get to the line of scrimmage and SNAP THE frickING BALL I was applauding. This modern "53's the Mike! 53's the Mike!", change formation, now set the protection, now send a man in motion, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ... offense drives me nuts. I wish some forward thinker would do a quantitative analysis on how much tactical advantage an offense gains from changing formations/man in motion/audible-izing versus the amounts of false starts and delay of game penalties one accrues. Never mind the jump the DL gets because you snap the ball every time with 1 or 2 seconds on the play clock
personally i think seeing the same play 100 times a game with as little time between plays is the most boring thing ever. at least a&ms version of this hunh stuff is entertaining.

It was funny how scared they were of Bama coming in and poaching him. I was reading on the VT 247 board their response to Bartow's article and they were already conceding him to us before he decommitted. For the record he chose VT over Florida State back in November.

The idea that if you substitute you must huddle would work a lot better than being dependent on ref judgements for time.

i fail to see how this proposed rule would be hard to enforce or where there would be room for error. if the play clock has 30 or higher and they snap it, penatly.

because I think HUNH teams should be able to go as fast as they want as long as they aren't simply using it to catch a D and keep them from changing.

In terms of enforcement, make it so that the ref has to look at the clock and blow the whistle when it's 29 seconds. That way the qb can focus on making defensive reads.
I still think they should only allow the defense to substitute on first downs. That way the offense can run HUNH the other downs. Whether it passes or not, I won't be disappointed. I've thoroughly enjoyed this melt. It's helped make the offseason more interesting.

Personally, I think the new rule against the HUNH is fricking retarded.

I was listening to Finebaum for a brief period while being out of the office and Hugh Freeze was on. Finebaum was asking him about the proposal and he just sounded so defeated that it was sad. What was as if the thought of not having that competitive advantage took away his ability to compete as a whole.
