Not a fan of barnett's release, takes forever. And hes probably even more raw than waller. Everybody on our qb list has big ? Waller and barnett will need lots of coaching on mechanics and system. Sills is more polished but has fetus arm.

I'd prefer Waller over Barnett for sure.

Some dude on BOL is saying we lead for Barnett. Not sure how I feel about that.
People always do this after all the stuff comes out. Quite annoying actually.
They say we lead for this person or about to get that person, but ONLY AFTER they see multiple reports of good information come out. Not a confirmation of anything except dudes being attention starved.
Anyways, I'd rather have Waller. That kid beat some amazing QB talent this summer with his arm. Barnett hasn't.
Wish we could just convince that kid, but from his interview it seems he isn't there yet.

Best recruiters for each SEC team
Ace recruiter: Mario Cristobal
This was a tough call, as Alabama has perhaps the best staff of recruiters in the nation. Defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, running backs coach Burton Burns, linebackers coach Lance Thompson and receivers coach Billy Napier are all worthy of being ace recruiters.
However, offensive line coach Mario Cristobal is head coach Nick Saban's best recruiter right now. He has secured commitments from seven of 'Bama's 18 recruits.
Cristobal has deep connections in Florida, which helped him get 4-star athlete Shawn Burgess-Becker and 4-star receiver Calvin Ridley. He also was the primary recruiter for Minkah Fitzpatrick, a 5-star cornerback who committed to the Crimson Tide earlier this spring.
He is after two 5-star uncommitted prospect: defensive tackle Daron Payne and offensive tackle Martez Ivey.

How He Got Here and What to Watch For
According to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Terry Godwin earned an invite to The Opening at Atlanta's Nike camp in March of this year. 247Sports' Kipp Adams reported that Godwin was the wide receiver MVP of that camp.
Godwin is athletic enough to do a lot of things, hence his recruitment as an athlete. But assuming his commitment stays firm to Georgia, he'll likely be counted on as a receiver to replace a host of talent that could be departing after the 2014 season. In that regard, his athleticism and hands—arguably his greatest two traits—are worth watching during 7-on-7 competition.
The 247Sports Composite regards Godwin as the nation's 18th-best player.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - James Lockhart made the drive from Ennis, Texas with his high school coach and spent a few days in Tuscaloosa last week.
It looks like the long drive, nearly 10 hours each way, was worth it. The four-star defensive end shined at Saturday's camp, winning the majority of his 1-on-1 battles.
"I competed in the camp on Saturday and I felt I earned the players' respect," Lockhart said. "I went 10-2 in 1-on-1s and Coach (Nick) Saban came over on my side and he was checking me out, so that was neat."
Lockhart made his first trip to Tuscaloosa last week.
"It was a good trip," Lockhart said. "I enjoyed myself. I really did. It was a good trip. I did a lot of learning. I got to meet a lot of great people. I was stunned. It was a great facility. The town was nice. The people were very friendly. I liked it there."
Alabama started recruiting Lockhart at the beginning of his junior year.
"When I started talking to them back in September, they were telling me that they were actually trying to recruit me my sophomore year, but it was hard for them to get in touch with my head coach," Lockhart said. "We've had a great relationship with each other and it continues to get better."
Lockhart is listed at 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds. He said Saban sees him as a JACK linebacker, but he could move around to several positions depending on if he gains or loses weight.
"If I was to get bigger, they could move me to defensive end," Lockhart said. "Coach Kirby Smart and Coach (Billy) Napier, my recruiting coach, said I could play middle linebacker.
"My coach thinks the JACK position is for me but he thinks I could be a really outstanding middle linebacker as well. What they told me is that they think I'm a very versatile player and that my weight and my size is flexible and they could use me where they wanted me to."
Lockhart said he was going to visit Texas A&M early this week, but is in the process of reaching Texas A&M coaches. Texas A&M got a commitment from linebacker/defensive end Landis Durham on Sunday.
"I see they got a commitment from a defensive end and I think he's in my grade," Lockhart said. "I know they were telling me that they might fill up early and they had a spot left. I'm going to have to get back with them. I think they may have filled up and I think I'm going to probably end up going to Alabama.
"Right now, I'm weighing out my options. I'm trying to stay in touch with A&M to see what's the deal there."
Lockhart said he planned on taking another trip to Alabama in July, but a commitment anywhere could happen at any time. Alabama and Texas A&M are his top two schools.
"It's 50-50," he said. "It's either A&M or either Alabama. They're both great schools. At Alabama, they treated me and my coach with a lot of respect and they took very good care of us."

I would be shocked if A&M didn't still have a spot left for him as bad as they have been on defense.

I feel like such a terrible person for laughing at that when the music kicked in. I swear, I really tried not to laugh.

Released over Twitter, St James Sch (Ala.) 3-star TE Jalen Harris has announced his five finalists tonight with the group mainly consisting of SEC schools and one program from the ACC. Official Top 5 (No order) Alabama, Auburn, Miami, LSU and Vanderbilt. Harris added an offers this past week from Auburn and Vanderbilt along with taking an unofficial visit to Alabama. The 3-star tight end has seen his stock rise over the past few months and has quickly become one of the top tight end prospects from the southern region. Right now the plan is to make a commitment before the start of his first game in August.
