Barnett and both of his parents are said to be thoroughly enjoying their time in Tuscaloosa according to sources close to the situation. They were supposed to leave yesterday but they are going to leave later today. Alabama is the biggest threat to Oregon.

You can only write it off if you donate to a recruit's father's church.

I watched a good bit more film today and really like Waller's skillset and what he already has to work with better. Barnett has a good arm not as quick a release though and a lot of his calls are runs, seems to struggle with accuracy not as much deep but it's evident with the short 10 - 15 yard throws. I actually also like Waller's mentality that seems to me to be pass first and run if its there and he has better vision. I also watched some camp performances of Waller and all the pro style throws with whatever adversity they added (coach with broom or players standing at the GL with their hands up making him float a pass) he passed all that with flying colors. He is special caliber passer with a lot of upside and truly unique escapability and athleticism. The more I watch of Waller the more impressed I am and it's opposite with Barnett.
Barnett is very good but extremely raw and a bit one dimensional passer wise (easily coachable and also very possible the HC knew he was getting 10 - 15 yds a clip with the running plays and zone reads so all he called passing was deep passes). He also has a bad habit of needing to plant shift all the weight and launch shows less athleticism as a passer, he has some great wheels and speed and it is almost 80% of his play calls from what I saw.
Count me in on Waller, Barnett would also be ok just a lot more work and a less high ceiling as a passer IMO

Why the frick would it be Carr? It isn't a major need. We signed 3 tackles last class.

True but I just don't see it being a QB. Carr is the only other prospect about to announce. Unless its the kid from Texas. Where will he play on defense?
