@Andrew_Gribble: Alabama will have one dorm room with 3 5-star players in it (Hand, Humphrey, Evans). Only 4 teams in the nation signed 3 or more 5-stars.

When we talk about recruiting we speak from a decade or more of in the trenches experience. Just when you think you have seen everything something changes and new standards are met. Today was one of those moments at Lake Stevens High School as a big group of major collegiate coaches came to see the arm of Sophomore Jacob Eason on display first hand. The kid they call "Skinny" has so many offers already that his Dad and coaches are setting up small events for schools that have not seen him throw have a chance to do so.

Tony Eason (Jacob's Father) called today a Pro Day for lack of a better term and it might as well have been. At about 12:45 today at the High School a work out was held in which Seattle based QB Guru Lavelle Durant, who is now we feel the #1 sought after private coach in the State, ran Jacob through his paces. Several of his receivers came and caught while the 6'5? - 210 lb rocket launcher threw the ball and showcased his arm, feet, and overall skill. By all accounts it was a great event.

In attendance were schools like Oklahoma State, Alabama, Oregon State, Utah, Washington State, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame. For anyone who has seen the Blind Side (and if you have not log off the damn PC and go watch it) you will know what this was like. Remembering that scene where Michal Oher, a Senior, had a dozen Head Coaches frothing at the mouth watching him I already know what this was like. But Jacob is only a Sophomore and I do not remember a moment like this one for any one else Jacob's age. This is the nuance to this development; he is so young and this is actually the 3rd such event like this.

Jacob has already received offers to play for Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Colorado, Oregon State, Washington State, Tennessee, and Georgia. And there will be many more.

He has also received not only a Nomination but and invite to play in both the Under Armour All American Game and the Army All American Game. All the accolades and interest is putting his recruitment in the biggest of National spotlights. So much so that is could be hard to maintain his humility and composure. Having said that Tony (Dad) is on the Coaching staff at Lake Stevens and has assembled the best football minds to be mentors including his Head Coach Tom Tri, Lavelle Durant, and others like Matt James and Trent Dilfer of the Elite 11. The concept is a solid one and appears to be working so far.

He was a little jittery at the last one as some big names were there and he maybe tried to do too much. Today Jacob was so relaxed and focused. It showed for sure and he ripped it all over the field. We started under center and then we went out of the shot gun and showed that hitting all the intermediate routes. We had defense today and ran doubles as we had so many receivers. It was great! Then we showcased his mobility and some escaping scenarios. Then we ended it with a great package of Red Zone plays and some 50 yard bombs on both the left and right sides of the field. This was no doubt the best I have ever seen him."

Tony had a chance to catch up with the Coaches as he is a paid member of the Lake Stevens staff. The former Notre Dame wide receiver said he was happy about the day and thinks Jacob shined. He said it was just a great fun environment to be a part of. No doubt it was!

While we could not be there to film we have some pics that a staff helper shot and include those below for your review. Today we learned that Jacob Eason is perhaps the hottest QB recruit in the Nation for the Class of 2016 and that the recruiting game just gets more and more ratcheted up every year! Probably the best thing of all of this is that these coaches are in the NW looking at him, his receivers (guys like Tevin Gray who we have covered) and thinking to themselves that this is a great place for them to continue to recruit. That folks is very powerful stuff indeed for all of our programs and athletes!

My Ohio State friend is saying they leas for Waller and he could commit if he has a good visit on June 8th.

I am a little intrigued by Dormady (have not followed Burrow at all).

Sills would be a okay. I am not really intrigued or exited, but I would feel as though we filled the slot with a decent prospect and hopefully could swing for the fences next year at QB.

Having said that, I don't really hear much Bama related buzz with any of these guys. Our QB will be a total surprise to me.

I was camping yesterday and couldn't get internet, otherwise, I would have been the first to say, HALE FRICKING HENTGES!!!
