Cotton could jump Johnson with a big Senior season.

I'm starting to wonder when Rivals and 247 will look into giving more than just one guard a five star status. After all there were a few guards taken in this year's draft before the running backs started going off the board.

Per 247tamu, Oregon has been in contact with Waller as early as last Sunday.

Guards aren't usually a premier position but you're right. The NFL is really starting to value them more. That should cause a paradigm shift in recruiting rankings.

I've also always thought they don't give enough 4 stars to interior linemen

We got another CB for Cornell tonight.

4 in one day? Something has to be up for that to happen.

The possibility of us landing elite dlineman after elite dlineman is just staggering. Could it be that one of the weaknesses of our team may turn into a strength? If only we could land an elite nose.

Free bolt on Humphrey:

quote:

Alabama signee Marlon Humphrey is less than a week away from enrolling at Alabama, but that hasn't stopped the 5-star corner from continuing to rack up the accolades. This week the Tide legacy was named Athlete of the Year by the Birmingham Kiwanis Club. Humphrey has enjoyed an illustrious career both on the gridiron and track at Hoover High, helping the Bucs to a 30-0 record and back to back 6A state championships in football along with winning multiple state titles/setting state records in track.
Humphrey selected the Tide over Florida State a week before signing day and ranked as the no. 12 overall prospect and top player in Alabama according to the 247Sports Composite.

One thing that concerns me about Cornell is that he was listed at 220 pounds last year and now he weighs 270 pounds. That's a big jump in less than a year

I don't mean to turn this into Oregon's recruiting thread, but they visited another QB today. It seems like Oregon fans are not very high on Waller. Could their staff feel the same way?

quote:

Oregon will visit San Clemente (Calif.) quarterback Sam Darnold on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 208-pounder was awarded an Elite-11 invitation after a solid performance on Friday in Oakland.
Darnold was not able to play his junior season so his performances at Spring ball and in camps has earned him several new offers in recent weeks

I just want "I can throw a ball 60 yards on a rope" Waller. Hopefully Oregon doesn't offer him.

If they are visiting other guys and want Waller to come throw at Camp or whatever they're likely not that interested.........YET

It is very likely they take 2 in this class I'm guessing if 2 are leaving
