Bell has 26 minutes worth of Sophomore film. It's linked in the OP. He looks good.

quote:our secondary is going to be much better this season than a beat up belue and a bunch of first year players who dont know what they are doing, and massive disappointment fulton. sylve was supposedly pretty good but always hurt, jones probably will know what he is doing more and wont be out of position so often, has all the physical tools to be a great cb (one of the most athletic guys on the team). jackson is going to be very good if he can recoup in time, brown looks like his talent level is the highest of anyone currently on the team, and humphrey may be better than him and more polished out of the gate. so we have a bunch of returning young players with hard won experience (and secondary players usually make their biggest improvement in year 2), and 2 first year guys with the potential to be some of the best corners saban has ever had. but most importantly, it looks like we are going to be majorly better on the dline, so it should be easier on these guys all around, wont have to cover for 10 seconds all the time. pagan and stinson were solid workman like players, but reed and robinson are massive upgrades (literally), and guys like allen, tomlinson, pettway, and maybe some of the stud freshman pass rushers are going to make life miserable on opposing olines and qbs
If we can stay healthy our 2015 secondary is going to be downright nasty. I hate being one year away

On Monday evening the nation's top outside linebacker Malik Jefferson tweeted a picture of a video conference between himself and Alabama head coach Nick Saban. The Tide have been involved with the Mesquite (Texas) Poteet linebacker for much of his recruitment and assistant coach Billy Napier was by to see him earlier during the evaluation period. Last week, Jefferson tweeted that he watched former Tide LB C.J. Mosley during the 2013 season.
Jefferson's Crystal Ball currently is split between Texas A&M and Texas, with the Aggies holding 76% of the picks. The Dallas area standout ranks as the no. 9 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.

Four-Star all-purpose back Kirk Merritt of Destrehan (La.) qualified for the LHSAA State Track and Field Championships in the 100 Meter Dash on the 5A side. Merritt’s time of 10.64 seconds is the fastest qualifying time in his race that takes place on Saturday. Alabama, LSU, TCU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech are some of the schools that have offered the nation’s 6th ranked all-purpose back and that are at the top of his list.

Alabama commitment Mekhi Brown plans to take use all five of his official visits and already has four schools in mind with a few programs vying for the fifth trip.
"I’ve picked four schools- Alabama, Stanford, North Carolina, and Mississippi State. I’m still deciding on another school- it’s between A&M, LSU, and a couple other schools," Brown told BOL.
The top 50 prospect says he's '100 percent' committed to Alabama and has been actively recruiting for the Tide throughout much of the process. 5-star WR Terry Godwin and TE Will Gragg were among Brown's targets while visiting Alabama for A-Day earlier this spring.
Kiss of death.

I was out at the baseball field yesterday when I posted about California QB Travis Waller, who Kiffin visited yesterday, so I was unable to link his stats and highlights. Here they are:

Anyone read the Mett drug test thread on the tigerrant? Holy shite its amazing. The dumb ones are maaaaaaad that the smart one realize that its a big deal and counted the same as a failed test.

So, most of them are mad?

I saw one thread where this guy believed teams were loving this because Mett will fall to them.
Oh, and hey hg.

Now that I have posted Travis Waller's profile and highlights I want to discuss him.
This is what Charles Power from BOL had to say about him:
This kid is ranked #35 overall on 247 Sports. That's 3 spots away from being a 5-star.
I know he is listed as a Dual-Threat QB, but take a look at his skill set rankings from 247:
You usually don't associate accuracy and pocket presence with the Dual-Threat guys. I watched his film (which is very, very impressive by the way) and I think they even underestimated his arm strength. I would put it at an 8.
With Town, Rosen, White and Browning all committed to Pac-12 schools it appears Waller may slip through the cracks out West. I would absolutely love to land this kid.
This is what Charles Power from BOL had to say about him:

Waller is a very capable passer and has all the tools to be a top guy in that regard. You like this move if you're a UA fan, IMO. He's one of the top few uncommitted QB's in the country and is up for grabs. Even though he fits well in an offense like Oregon's he could play for UA.
quote:
That's not to say that there aren't some guys listed as dual threats that wouldn't fit UA's offense, but I don't think Waller is one of them. At the end of the day, you need to be able to throw the ball and he's shown he has the tools to do that at a high level.

Here are some blurbs regarding Waller:
quote:
Even before his announcement, the pieces to the quarterback puzzle began to shift. Cal, long considered a favorite to land White extended a new offer at around 10am on the west coast to Travis Waller. Presumably that offer went out as Cal received word that White would be heading elsewhere.
Waller’s popularity may continue to rise. The other supposed finalist for White was Oregon. The Ducks offered White late after making runs at Notre Dame commit Blake Barnett and Texas A&M five-star lean Kyler Murray. But as those two continue to be an uphill battle, Mark Helfrich turned too late to White. Will he look in the direction of Travis Waller next?
That is likely the concern for programs like Northwestern, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Tennessee all of whom have made Waller a priority in the absence of some of the more name Pac-12 offers. That group would be perfectly happy recruiting the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the nation without the threat of the flashy jerseys and high powered offense from the pacific northwest.

In consecutive weekends Anaheim (Calif.) Servite quarterback Travis Waller wowed us with his talent. Still raw fundamentally at the quarterback position, Waller was surprisingly accurate and showcased a big time arm at both the LA Nike Camp and the Pylon 7on7 event. While Waller’s athleticism sets him apart as a 6-3 prospect who expects to run the 200 in under 23 seconds this spring, he showcased tremendous upside as a passer over the last two weeks. The offers are still slow to arrive for Waller but that will change when coaches see him this spring.

Quarterback Travis Waller (Anaheim, Calif./Servite) should move up quite a bit in the 247Sports rankings after what we saw the last two weeks. It’s always been a known fact that the 6-foot-3 Waller was an excellent runner. What’s impressed in back-to-back camp settings is his ability to throw the ball. Washington leads among the programs that have offered, but Oregon (no offer yet) is an 83 percent leader on Crystal Ball. ?

quote:
Josh Rosen won the MVP award and while several quarterbacks were good enough to get the nod, we like Waller the most on this day. With his size and frame, he probably has the most physical upside among any quarterback that was there but he’s not just a big athlete. Waller’s velocity was at or near any other arm in attendance and he made maybe the most ‘wow’ throws of anybody. Waller has room for polish but he has the raw tools to be in the conversation with any quarterback in the country.
