Brandon Wimbush is announcing tomorrow. Safe to say it won't be Alabama.

Supposedly Hoover LB Darrell Williams named a top 3, in order, of Auburn, Oklahoma and Alabama. Seeing as how he doesn't have a commitable offer from us it's really just a top 2.

Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is in Los Angeles today. One of the top prospects who Kiffin was by to see is Anaheim (Calif.) Servite quarterback Travis Waller, according to 247Sports National Recruiting Insider Ryan Bartow. Oregon was also by to see Waller. Alabama has offered uncommitted quarterbacks Zach Gentry and Brandon Wimbush.
The top 100 quarterback's Crystal Ball reads 78% in favor of Oregon, though the Ducks have yet to offer.

Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) four-star linebacker Tevon Coney tweets he's been offered by Alabama. The 6-foot-0.5, 215-pounder also holds offers from the likes of Florida, Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Tennessee. Coney's Crystal Ball is currently 100% in favor of Florida.

Williams didn't seem too keen on having to earn an offer at camp this summer.

Especially with his teammate getting to commit without camping this summer. Not sure if Bell camped last summer (?)

I like his talent but I want Caban more for that last LB spot.

How do they compare? I haven't watched any Williams film.

Also seems like Auburn is pretty high on Williams. You have one coaching staff who is willing to take your commitment, and then you have another one who is not sure whether they want you, and the decision seems to be a no-brainer.

The Hoover kids' films are like great white buffaloes. No one has ever seen them in person. They only know a guy that knows a guy that has seen them.
Apparently Hoover High School pays for all their Hudl accounts so they control if their films are public or private.

Wonder if this had anything to do with why a lot of Hump's film was special teams.

Teams were too afraid to throw at Marlon. He doesn't have any film.

I hate being one year away
Posted on 5/5/14 at 10:12 pm to chattabama
We thought we were gonna be one year away in 2012 too.
We all know how that turned out.

I saw him in person 3 times
That's why I wanted Bell
And Marlon was impressive

Can you elaborate on what you saw from each of them? Thanks

At Safety sure, but at Corner? I mean, Dee was on his way out, I expected Belue to become solid, but never lockdown. I thought Fulton would be better than he was, talk about a major letdown in 2013.
But beyond that, I'm not sure anyone realistically looked at the CB depth chart and was too optimistic.
