He does disagree. He clearly stated before and after both the 2009 and 2014 Sugar Bowl that the BCS sadly devalued the major bowls. That people saw it as a disappointment, when was quite the opposite.

FSU lost WAAAAY more than AU did

My top 5 would be

1. AU
2. FSU
3. Mizzou
4. Oregon
5. Alabama

The majority of the preseason projections I've seen even have Alabama ahead of Auburn.

I know...and Bama has a shite ton of talent on D, WR, RB, but need to show that Coker is competent as a QB

Until then those other teams (with the exception of maybe OU) deserve to be ranked higher, or have more of an argument

FSU lost half its DL, 2 really good WRs, all their LBs

Mizzou will be better with Mauk at WR, DGB hurts, Ealy and Sam hurt as well

Mizzou only loses like 3 or 4 players, FSU loses that many on D (more actually I think)

Mizzou loses Sam, ealy, Gaines, DGB, Washington, Lucas, and OL. I'm not gonna homer but why would Alabama not be number 2 if coker comes in and is named starter immediately.

I agree that Bama should slide up the ranking fairly quickly IF/WHEN Coker proves competent

All those other teams have no QB issues though

See, FSU's offense is at least similar enough to ours that Saban would say this. Obviously a lot of key differences though.

1 difference (not knocking Jameis...ok maybe I am)

Bama doesn't have mammoth WRs and a TE who all make it a lot easier for the QB by playing rebound when the ball is in the air

Bama's WRs are more speed guys and hopefully Kiffin's O will be more about timing and routes getting guys open

Well I'd say Howard is way more talented than O'Leary, and we have WRs with similar size to Kelvin Benjamin.

And Rashad Greene and Kenny Shaw are smaller than Amari Cooper and DeAndrew White.

But the point stands, a lot of differences. FSU is pass oriented. We're run oriented.

I'd love to see CJ in Green Bay with Lacy. We've always been pretty good to the Packers (the Bama of the NFL imo). It's a good fit, and I love seeing good Bama players (like Mathis and Ryans these past couple of years) on the same team.

Can anyone give the cliffs notes for the BOL article about our top 10 targets?

UA's coaches are active on the trail on Wednesday, seeing top prospects. Bobby Williams was in Cincinnati checking on 5-star LB Justin Hilliard at St. Xavier as well as OT George Brown at Winton Woods. Mario Cristobal is in Philadelphia, visiting top 100 CB John Reid at St. Joseph's as well as Imhotep Institute to see 3-star RB Nasir Bonner, 4-star 2016 TE Naseir Upshur, and 3-star 2016 WR D.J. Moore. Cristobal was also by Frankford HS to see 3-star DE Shareef Miller. Kirby Smart is in south Georgia, including a stop at Clinch Co. HS to see 4-star ATH Octavis Johnson and 2016 4-star DE Chauncey Manac.

1. Matthew Burrell - No one knows where he's going, but he's interested in Bama and is friends with Da'Shawn Hand.

2. Byron Cowart - we're in his top group along with UF and Oregon. He's coming back for another visit later, but UF currently holds an 85% prediction rate on BOL's crystal ball.

3. Jovon Durante - a lot of people have CB'd a flip to Bama recently, though he's denied that he's flipped yet.

4. Zach Gentry - wants to commit before summer and is in his top 4. No one knows where he's going.

5. Terry Godwin - committed to UGA but has been visiting other schools.

6. Martez Ivey - in his top 4, had a good visit to Tuscaloosa in February.

7. CeCe Jefferson - Florida is his favorite, but Bama is in his top group. If UF lays another egg on the field this year, he may consider another school.

8. Daron Payne - Bama holds 97% of his CB picks and is strongly considered a Bama lean.

9. Jovon Robinson - currently a toss-up between Bama and AU.

10. Trent Thompson - UGA is his leader, but he is looking around and visiting different schools.
