I hope that we don't underestimate them. I think that we went into the 2014 game with a bad mindset. Our team had flaws that year for sure but we also didn't respect OSU. At least in my opinion.

The media uses that narrative to troll our fans and Coach Saban. And it's pathetic. Players like Deshaun Watson, Cam Newton and Johnny Manziel ripped every team they played against. Fields is a great player himself. Let's just hope that he doesn't have a once in a lifetime performance tomorrow night.

I don't think this team underestimates or overlooks anything

I hope that everyone is locked in and ready to go. I want some payback for that Sugar Bowl debacle.

They aren’t. No one is under preparing at all. Business, this team is on a mission.

I think it’s a problem with the media as a whole when talking about Alabama teams. They want to make broad generalizations about the program as a whole rather than recognizing individual team’s strengths and weaknesses. I hope everyone listens to it and buys in, because this isn’t your typical Alabama team under Saban.

I have issues with some of things that was said in Article:
- "Fields goes from the Big Ten championship, where he looked just dazed and confused, and against Clemson, he looks like the best player in the country," a Big Ten offensive assistant said.
That's because Clemson was ill-prepared for the game against OSU. They looked like shite.
-On Bama having issues with qbs that can run- That is partly true, but we've done pretty good job of managing that this year.
On quote: " "When Florida kept scoring, Alabama had a little bit of panic on their face. They hadn't been hit like that."
I have a feeling that was Dan Mullen saying that.
That is not true. we were up 35-17 heading into 3rd quarter. We went into conservative mode.
Mac Jones can't run- Not true. He can run. He just choose to trust his OL line.
Some of the takes listed here are incredible...

Agreed. They think that this team is the same as 2013 or 2014 and that's simply not true. Our team has weaknesses as does any team (Ohio State has them) but we've progressed greatly on defense since the first half of the Georgia game. Florida was just a terrific offense that emptied the magazine against us and still lost.

Again, Mac is a really good player who never turns it over. But if that offensive line were average, he would be average."
I hope Mac reads this!

Any good QB with a shite OL will have struggles, not a news flash here lol.

They keep saying Mac can't run. Well when has Mac had to run this season? Not very often. He usually gets the ball out on time and the line does its job.

I never would have thought Cardale Jones would have beaten us, a freshman 3rd stringer.
Really hope we don’t underestimate Fields.

Matt Corral threw for 5 billion yards earlier this year. No one on Bama is underestimating Justin Fields.

And Mac Ran against ND....

He was redshirt sophomore not a freshman

I'll be honest, I don't really know what to expect tomorrow night.
I agree, part of me thinks OSU, especially Fields played the game of his/their life against Clemson, hopefully they can't repeat

MAC did run against Nd... HE just didn't slide well, thought he was going to break his ankles with those slides...
(Hope he reads this and has at least practiced the sliding)..
I too, think JF may have played the game of his career against CU... mostly because the team had obsessed with CU since last year's debacle. Will be very interested in his 1st effort to tuck and run or "designed" QB draw... with the hit to his ribs so recently, I would think they would wish to protest him and not have a 300# DL to land on him.. or have a hard hitting Safety to derail him.
Hell, if I am OSU, wouldn't want John Metchie to hit him.
Nervous I am.

Yea, the "issues with passers who can run" thing only applies to guys who can run AND pass with a high level of efficiency.
Basically, the same dudes who give everyone else on planet earth issues
"Alabama's defense seems to have a difficult time with mobile quarterbacks, who get picked early in the draft, and are on teams that will championships."
As if every team doesn't have the exact same issues with an elite quarterback. Especially with modern rules. But, let's be honest, we know they have to say something besides "just go ahead and spread those cheeks."
