Our college football experts spent the offseason putting together proposals to fix the year-round schedule and polled people in the sport about this new schedule.

If we aren’t going to go back to the original conferences (which we will never do). Then we need four super conferences. I hate it, but it is what it is. It will kill lower level football because all games will have to be conference games. It will have to be 11 or 12 straight conference games, and possibly not have a conference championship game. 8 team playoff

Start with four conference champions and then have four at large

I've been following CFP expansion for over a year and I haven't seen any consideration of only including 8 teams from 4 big conferences that play only 11-12 in-conference games and no conference championship games.

Yep. 100% agreed

I'd like to add that i've been keeping up with the Big 12/Pac 12 saga recently (well not recently, but for weeks at this point).

The Big 12 wants the 4 corners schools (Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado), but most of their boosters/administrators don't want to join the Big 12.

This is especially interesting for CU (Colorado) considering that a lot of the fanbase wants to go back to the Big 12 (heard from an interview from a Denver Post reporter that the fanbase is currently 60/40 Big 12-70/30 Big 12), but the administration doesn't really care about the sports programs they have. Really sad situation.

From what I've heard, Arizona wants to dip, but the state government won't let them leave unless they bring ASU, but ASU won't leave because their AD loves the Pac-12.

Nothing but interesting developments coming out of the west, and I hope more spicy stuff comes out soon.

The SEC should shock the world and add ND. Since we're screwing everything up anyway..

Wonder how the B1G (Big 10) would react to that.

The B10 supposedly ready to announce a billion $ TV deal with Fox, CBS, and NBC--all day football. ESPN is excluded from that deal. That will probably sweeten the pot for ND and really shake up college football. Again.

ND still has to adhere to the ACC GOR.

I'm not sure if they can get out of that early, seems like a messy situation if they indeed do want to join the B1G.

Interesting...B1G is making moves...

I don't think ND wants to join a conference. Whether they are pressure into it is a different story
