Let’s get Arky and Auburn first, then we can worry about UGA…. Long way to go still

Beating The Hogs and AU will take all we can muster. This version of Bama just isn't a great team and we didn't get better in the past two weeks.

10-2 will be good if we can get there.

Honestly 10-2 and a sunny Florida bowl against a solid Big 10 team sounds better than getting humiliated by Georgia in ATL.

Not if that involves losing to Auburn it doesn't

Exactly. I skimmed over the photos and explanations, admittedly, but one I read was based on an assumption that I don’t really agree with.

Maybe the WR didn’t break as quickly as he should’ve. Maybe the WR took too long to develop his route. Whatever the case is, in that particular one I read/saw, I don’t see anything wrong with Bryce’s judgment.

I think two things can be true - Bryce missed some reads and throws, and most of these screenshots are missing some context. I'm not sure the WR is as open as they claim in several of those screenshots. The only one that is really glaring is the CB blitz where Metchie is all alone in the flat. Still, there is a safety breaking to cover that area, so a TD there wasn't a sure thing had Bryce made that read and throw.

And maybe they mentioned it in their complete write up, but can we blame Bryce for being a little off? LSU threw a defense at him they hadn't used all season, and we lost our starting C early in the game. That's a LOT for a first year starter to overcome, especially with the pressure he was seeing.

It's pretty hard to assess those takes based on screen shots. They should've done video clips.

Yea, I think we're probably going to lose to Georgia, but the idea that if we are underdogs in a game we'd rather just not play it is.......gross.

I concur, getting your arse kicked is also good motivation for the next season if that is what transpires. And champion game experience, knowing the intensity that goes into that would only be helpful the following season.

And who knows, if our oline plays a good game or we have an excellent gameplan then anything can happen.

Alabama has played pretty well in the few underdog type situations we have had during Saban's career. Maybe that is what the team needs to motivation them.

Exactly. Gross is a good description.

Also, we could very well come out like we did against OM, and win.

Or we could come out like we did against A&M and lose.

But wanting us not to compete at all??

Agreed. This isn't a championship team. I think we all know that. Even losing a game didn't wake some of these guys up. Maybe getting the shite kicked out of them will.

I'll be honest. If we're not going to win the championship, I wouldn't mind losing to Arkansas and then coming out on fire against Auburn and in the bowl game. Springboard into 2022 with some momentum.

I love Bryce but he clearly has trouble reading the D both pre and post-snap and therefore struggles with check downs. There are many plays where he gets no time and takes a sack but just as many where he holds on to the ball too long and needs to run or throw it away without a grounding penalty.

He also seems to have major clock issues, we get a lot of delay of games.

However, everyone of those issues is quite fixable and he's much better than most young and mostly inexperienced QBs.

Tennessee might just surprise UGA with the upset. They've done it before.

Fair enough he had his own mistakes. But running for his life nearly every play and zero run game, what's to be expected of a young, first year starter?

Agreed, but I think the point is that against a defense blitzing so recklessly you have to expect some running for your life. You also have to make the quick read and blow it up when it's open. We didn't do that, which compounded the issues.

I mean the kid has been great all year under constant pressure, certainly not mad at him. As someone said earlier, I'm honestly concerned it's going to start stunting his growth and making him see pressure every play even when it isn't there.

When OL is having issues, why not do more max protect? Bring Randolph in to help anchor the right side, ask BRob to blow up any inside pressure and Bryce should have time to find something down the field or at worst, try to scramble for some yards. The whole offensive game plan this year has just been very meh for the most part. I don’t see any creativity or imagination like we had with Sark and Kiffin.

Agreed - it's been very underwhelming
