How when that specific plan is a bend not break predicted on causing chaos to create turnovers?

Their defensive gameplan is not remotely based on causing chaos to create turnovers. They're one of the worst defenses in the country at creating turnovers. They have a negative turnover margin for the season. They have only 13 turnovers on the season and 6 of them came in only 2 games. If you're going to try to refute someone's point at least do it with facts.

Why in the world would you let your ST coach insert a WR who can make a mistake in a position where he hasn't consistently played this season?

I didn't have a problem with that call. We had had trouble getting the ball into Williams' hands on offense but once he has it, he is a wizard with it, so I thought putting him back to return punts was an understandable wrinkle to throw out there. Plus DeBoer said that OU had been punting short a lot this season so having a short return man and a deep return man made some sense. Obviously it didn't work out but people get too caught up in using results to judge the quality of a coaching decision. Not everything you try is going to work, even if it is a really good idea. That's why the games are played.

Their gameplan for us was based on that. You do understand that teams scheme for differently for opponents, right?

Do me a favor and go look at the interviews after that first game in Tuscaloosa and tell me what their players said their coaches hammered on them during the two week prep for Alabama

I did. It was an unnecessary gamble in a game you're trying to control and kill. If RW hasn't been back there, just randomly introducing him could bring joy but it also could bring pain.

Well KDB needs to fire his ST coach because he lied to him.

OU has one of the best punters in the nation and he is known for long punts and pinning opponents back.

1000% true and there are gambles I would take that KDB or you would never.

Just for me and my experience, trusting inconsistent WRs in those situations leads to more famine than feast.

Fair remark though

Basically this.

Maybe I was a little harsh there I just never liked putting shaky skill players in high risk scenarios like PRs. Just my personal preference.

It actually is. Thst helmet communication stops at 15 seconds and from that point (specifically 10 seconds down) it's Ty making adaptations trying to find the mismatch.

To be honest it was working very well for us because Ty was seeing the field and defense well. Since his confidence dropped and mentally he hasn't been the same it hasn't.

Which is why we heard rumors of us trying to cut that out completely against Vernables because every check Ty made he seemed to either know or have the answer

Go back and watch the film.

We're making adjustments at the 22-23 second mark a lot. That's Grubb.

Yes and after rhe 15 second mark communication is cutoff and we are still making adjustments. That isn't Grubb

All this is bullshite you are pulling out of ur arse. I don’t have to discuss your fairy tale opinions. You were wrong all of last year and are seething about it. Troll on, brother. Just try to control your temper

You have no answers to Y-star’s post, because don’t know anything indepth about football. You hand-wave away his points, making no point of your own whatsoever. Tell us how he is wrong. Your little online buddies upvote you because they are just as intimidated as you are by him. Man up and have an adult conversation.

He was quoted this week as saying he's done everything he can to get the running game going. I took that in part as him taking a shot at the players and the OL coach. My guess is the OL coach gets canned after our next loss.

Once again, I don’t have to refute idiotic post, no matter how long winded they are.
I don’t have online buddies. Sounds gay.

“You’re not a man if you dont engage with the troll”.
What a stupid thing to post.

I don't really care about the argument between you and Ystar but I would like to hear your version of why Ty has regressed so much over the last 4-5 games.

I didn't say it was all on Grubb.

They are both guilty of making the checks.

Agreed

I would even say from my experience Ty learned to overdo this because Grubb taught it so Grubb being his leader is more responsible.

Well, the stupidity is on you, because those last words are yours.

Please, go ahead and tell us what the fault was in the last Oklahoma loss.

I would put blame on everyone, not just an individual.
I’ve watched poor rb play on pass blocking, route running.
I’ve watched oline play erratic on pass blocking and run blocking.
I’ve watched wr with terrible route running and dropping too many passes.
The last 4-5 games, defenses have done a great job disguising actual coverage. Makes qb hold ball longer, take sacks, be less accurate.

I’ve also watched them look amazing when they execute.

Putting the blame on one player after watching this offense the last 4-5 games is asinine.
Hope that helps.

Do you have an actual job ? I ask because you’ve been sitting on this site all day long bitching about Ty. Ridiculously obsessive behavior.

Well yeah, talk to any football guy and they will obsess over the details of football.

I do understand that not many of those types are here.
