Alabama is practicing in the Dome all week, and Clemson is practicing outside (miserable weather) at Tulane stadium..
According to Jim Dunnaway.

Clemson DBs were asked what Ala player jumps off the page when they watch film of Ala. They said Jerry Jeudy really caught their eye.

Thats hard to believe. Why would Clemson make that decision.

They didn't. There is some rule about where number 1 stays and practices and where number 4 stays and practices. Maybe their hotel is better.

Because he's the guy downfield wide open jumping up and down waving his arms ? I'm sure that does draw a lot of attention during a film session.

Thats funny, but lets don't get off on that same thread again today. I'll admit, I laughed.

Dunaway said that Dabo requested the arrangement. Possibly some superstition or sentimental value for him in that the '92 team used the same facilities during their Sugar Bowl prep.

Might also be paranoid about having his practices recorded.

Stop grasping at straws the pass was absolutely perfect and from our 40 yard line.

He was alos running free on a couple of other plays....as well as Sims on a crossing pattern for a TD 1 play before we botched the FG attempt...

Edit: I was mistaken...Jalen threw up a pass into the endzone for grabs (to ridley, as usual), and then we botched the FG. On this play, Womack was beat but jalen had Jacobs open for the first down right in front of his face.

He doesn't throw it unless WRs are wide open: bad Jalen.

He throws a 50/50 ball to a WR and it is caught for a touchdown: Bad Jalen.

So which is it? At least be consistent.

At this point, this is Good Jalen to me.

Unless I am mistaken, the right tackle got completely whooped on the play before the botched field goal, and let his guy get to Hurts before he even finished dropping back. He was immediately forced to abort the pocket.

Oh I agree. He definitely needs to let the WRs make a play. He threw two good ones in the Iron Bowl. One was a TD, and the other was a blatant drop by Ridley. He just needs to trust his throws.

The more I read analysis on this game the more I think Jalen is going to have to have success throwing the ball on non-passing downs.

I'm still hopeful that our outside running game can work against Clemson again and open a lot up for us, but if Clemson's run defense holds up then Jalen is going to have to open the run up with the pass.

Will this be the best RB stable that Clemson has faced this year? It seems like it will be, and its not even close. But I might be overlooking someone that they have played.

I think it's easily the best backfield they have faced (I think SOG has pointed this out already). That's what I am hoping for is that Saban realizes we can't RPO them to death if we really want to attack with our running backs, at least not exclusively RPO's. We have to have designed outside runs to try and get outside of their Defensive Tackle's and get those boys running sideline to sideline.

Of course, if Clemson's front 7 plays to their reputation then we say our prayers and hope Jalen plays with his hair on fire
