2015 game***
They only allowed 40

2016 they only allowed 35

The point of the post was NOT to compare the defense to 2015-2016 Bama D.

It was to show that when even tGOAT defenses are left on the field too long, the opponent will eventually score.

The 2025 defense faced 10+ possessions twice that year:
(40-37 loss to Ole Miss)
(45-40 win over Clemson).

Bama has faced the 13th most possessions out of 16 teams in the SEC (according to ESPN), and have given up the 3rd fewest points per possession in the country since 2024.

Imagine if UT only had 9 possessions vs Bama like against AU
(AU still have up 311 on the ground lol).

Or imagine if the defense didn’t allow less points than Georgia since 2024?

The end of the day, passes in the flat or not, a defense’s job is to prevent opponents from scoring points, prevent them from gaining yards and forcing turnovers.
