I'd like to know why Cuevas wasn't targeted at all on the last 3 drives. He was killing them. Maybe he was blocking

Wasn't the slant that was a pick 6 a hot route?

No, wasn't a slant.

He has a little Tua in him regarding trying to do “too much” and not throwing it away or just eating it.

He just needs to be a game manager
, just throw that pass over Hortons head after you see the blitz coming.

I don't think ty had enough time to see much of anything... In the case, he should have just tried to minimize the hit on him.

Then we might as well fire DeBoer right now because his offense doesn’t have a “game manager,” the whole thing is designed around the QB being the most important human being on the offensive side of the ball.

It’s not 2009 anymore and it’s not going to ever be 2009 ever again, at least if we want to get the kind of players we need to compete in the current landscape of college football.

That being said, Ty must learn to give up the play before he’s sacked if there’s nothing there.

Definitely needed the game manager yesterday. Isn't Mateer talent wise just a game manager?

We need a qb that doesn't turn the ball over.

On that we are in complete agreement.

And Mateer is a 64% passer averaging 232 yards a game. Okie is a very balanced offense, 333 runs and 321 passes, they’re not a grind it out offense.

Mateer was fortunate our DB's and LB's don't catch the ball really well. We had a really good chance at one pick and a shot at a second. Wasn't our day.

Had we not gifted them so much we kill them. The D pretty much controlled their offense all day.
