Marshall is a better runner and has a stronger arm. Sims is much more accurate and decisive as a passer
If I had to choose one for either offense it would be Blake Sims

Gotta eat my crow on Sims. Dude looks like he's fully in control of this offense. He probably won't blow the doors off any SEC teams, but he's consistent and seems to manage the game well enough for us. He's giving our playmakers a chance to make plays.

I'm very comfortable with Sims running the offense. But, I'm not ready to give up on Coker just yet. I bet there will be marked improvement between his first and second game.

Very happy with Sims' progress...and his confidence level today was much higher than last week.
I'm telling you, he could be our own crimson version of Tee Martin.

We are only 2 games in, but I do hope Blake succeeds. The effort, and patience he has put in, if we catch some breaks, would love to see this young man have a stellar year.
That being said, I'm still at 10 wins regular season, and everyone will be disappointed. Hope I'm wrong, but anything less than a playoff, (sounds weird to say,) is going to be a let down.

if sims is finalized as the starter and we start mixing in a few read option plays per quarter, we will be unstoppable on O. We have the best offensive skill players int he country, the makings of a very good oline, and an efficient dual threat qb, and an OC who calls plays better than i could from my arm chair (nuss was a bad playcaller). If we can just break some explosive plays with his feet it will open things up even more for passing. it would just be icing on our cake, because unlike auburn we can actually run it without the threat of the option
