3 hits and this is why I pointed out our SEC BA of 245. Yesterday's runs were not typical of what this team has done all year. Today is more like what we have done but we have had the benefit of Fouts.

Honestly didn’t think we were the 5th best team in the country with Fouts. We certainly aren’t without her.

That said, find a way to get the bats going in the 2nd game and you have a chance to at least give NW a run in the supers. Losing to MTSU would be pretty embarrassing, even without Fouts.

If Fouts doesn't pitch the winner take all game, it's probably season over.

You might be right, but I’m hoping it was just a small lack of focus or motivation knowing it wasn’t an elimination game.

Lots of top seeds struggling in the non elimination game today, including LSU losing to ULL and NW down 1-0 to Miami OH early. Not to mention Arky ending their season at home giving up a walkoff grandslam in the bottom of the 5th as part of a 9 run inning (run ruled 14-4) and of course UCLAs collapse yesterday.

Hope we are laser focused with backs against the wall, and come out swinging (pun intended).

Edit: Mcneese up 1-0 early on #7 Washington as well

It happens and I think Bama gets it done this next game. We swing at a lot of bad pitches though.

Haven’t watched much softball the last couple years, but what’s up with these weak at-bats? Do we not have a hitting coach?

Hitting looks eerily similar to last game. Weak fly balls and zero adjustments

10 innings today and one run. This is the Murph teams we are used to expecting in big games.

our batters are making their pitcher look like the best pitcher in the NCAA. One good stroke that inning that was caught by the LF otherwise the other two outs were easy pop ups

She doesn’t even have any decent stuff. Just throwing strikes and we’re gently popping everything up.

It's so frustrating to watch because there's zero adjustments being made at the plate.
