Hitters regressing against good pitching today. Lost count of so and stranded runners. Does bode well for conference play.

Not one ground ball out all day…no adjustments at all.

Been saying this from day one as we are stuggling against no NCAA dance type teams to get 4 and 5 hits. Beavers better keep most SEC teams to 1 run or less.

We won 1-0 vs AZ I thought we play two today but Rolltide.com seems to have us playing one. Apparently Beavers came in for the save in the 7th
Nevermind. We lost game one to USA who held us to 3 hits and zero runs. Lost 2-0.

Haven’t watched much so far but looks like it will be the same shite as every other year under Murphy. Sigh.

Challenging day to say the least at Rhoads yesterday. Nice to come away with 2 wins against Arizona. Good to be 19-1 heading into conference play. But as Bear indicated, it was pop up after pop up after pop up all day long.
Against USA Bama had 3 hits and 1 walk. South won with 2 hits and 2 walks. Against Arizona, 3 hits and 3 walks. AZ had 3 hits and 2 walks.
Florida comes to town next weekend….

Alabama softball split a pair of close contests Saturday at the T-Mobile Crimson Classic, taking its first loss of the season to South Alabama, 2-0, before bouncing back with a 1-0 shutout over 19th-ranked Arizona.
Alabama (19-1) could not get the bats going in a 2-0 loss to South Alabama (12-5) but a solo home run from Marlie Giles proved enough against Arizona (16-3), as the pitching and defense held the Wildcats at bay for the Crimson Tide's second win over the ranked Pac-12 foe this weekend. Jaala Torrence (7-1) was the pitcher of record in both games, while Kayla Beaver secured the final two outs of the game against Arizona to earn her third save of the season.
From Head Coach Patrick Murphy
"There was some good pitching today by us and both of our opponents. I have to give all the credit in the world to [South Alabama pitcher] Olivia Lackey. She's one of the few pitchers that has come in here and beat us twice, so I tip my cap to her. We just didn't make enough adjustments against her in the first game and South Alabama took advantage of our mistakes. The second game was a good, old-fashioned pitcher's duel. Jaala Torrence was terrific as the starter, Alea Johnson did her job as a reliever and Kayla Beaver came in to close and did exactly what we wanted her to do."

it is March 4 and no one has updated the YTD stats on Rolltide.com. Who normally does that? I assume it is someone with the SFB team. Basebll is updated.

thanks. I have always gone to the stat line and never failed to find things updated within 24 hours of the game. They are at 18 games and your link is at 20 games. You would think it would all copy over.

UF has a freshmen beating us. I would trade UF straight up for their HC and give them 5M. Make it happen Greg. These young ladies deserve better.

We are down to 3 outs and have failed to get the lead off runner for a number of innings lately.
