But Ohio state just got blasted last week. So TCU should just fall by default even though OSU also lost their last played game?

Have you ever seen a team lose and not drop? I haven't. You can't use osu as your measuring stick on where to place tcu. If those are your 4 teams then drop tcu 1 and move osu to 3rd.

Yes they should drop by default because that's how it is lol. Everyone drops with a loss no matter when, where, or how, we did and so has every other team in history bro.

TCU was ranked #3 and K-State was ranked #10, that's a 7 gap difference. Regardless of how TCU lost, when has a team never dropped a rank when they lost to a team of that lower ranking? And im honestly serious bro, because I can't remember.

Because is normal circumstances there are teams near the losing team with a similar or better record following the loss. You have to look at the context here. Even with the Loss there is no logical reasoning to drop them when their counter arguments are. Ohio state (worst resume with a blowout loss at home), Alabama (no key wins and lost 2 games vs best opponents) and Tennessee (got blown out by an unranked team, blown out by UGA, and missing their best player). When you evaluate all of that them not dropping makes sense

You're right and that that is normal circumstances. But the field after 3 stinks this year. Point blank. There aren't even 4 deserved teams. But you just should not drop TCU when they have still the better overall body of work vs bama and OSU makes no sense.

The “rule” is, that nobody has ever jumped anyone by losing, not how many spots they drop. But, if you’re literally going to rank us just outside the top 4, and literally lay out what has to happen for us to make it into the top 4 (tcu and usc lose). And it actually happens and we don’t make it in? That’s the problem I have with it.

Then look at all of the context. Tcu lost to a team with its back up qb playing. Osu lost to the #2 team in the country. Tcu lost to the # 10 team.

It seems that you're only looking at the content you want to look at. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Cheers

Who said if USC and TCU lose we're in as the official path for us?

Plenty of people said the only way TCU was out was if they got blown out. They didn't.

Ehh for the most part I agree with you man but I still feel a lost is a lost and when it happens is key. shite just irks me when the ranking criteria just gets flipped upside down all of a sudden. I still feel that the committee just didn't want to deal with the backlash of having a 2 loss team in at the end of the day and it would have made it worse with that team being Bama.

There’s no “official” way in, that’s why there is a committee. And plenty of people said that if those two teams lost we would be in. Even CBS said that yesterday during the SEC championship.

No they didn't. Danielson clearly said at the end of his half hearted Alabama sales pitch that he'd put TCU in ahead of us.

If k state could've kept momentum and won by 15 plus we would have gotten in

Ohio State and TCU would not have come close on those Saturday nights at Tennessee and LSU.

They only put TCU in because of all the whining from other coaches and fans. They sure as hell didn't put TCU in for TV ratings. The ratings for the TCU game will be in the toilet and TCU will get blown out. TCU is a scrub team from a scrub conference. I hope we blow the doors off every bitch arse team we play next season.

Sounds like the same shite we and the team itself said last off-season.

Well, we better get ready because the Big 12 will be ready to show us just how wrong we were to disrespect them.

I still say TCU deserves the shot over OSU. Wait and see. After watching Purdue and Illinois vs Michigan I’m going to say TCU wins. Having 2 Big 10 teams this year is the real fricking travesty.

I agree, but like CNS said, if you don’t want fans to storm the field “win”!

We should’ve won then

This right here. Does not matter what the final score was or how we lost in the end. Better play calling on both sides of the field all 4 quarters we would be in. Like not having 12 men on the field after a timeout.

The only I know, is that I have never known a team to lose and not drop even 1 spot. TCU lost and remained #3. OSU lost and dropped. Last year UGA was #1 and lost to Bama and dropped. It’s all political because they didn’t want a Michigan/OSU rematch in the semis. They ask the head of committee and he flat out lied they didn’t discuss that.

Which teams besides UGA & Michigan have better resumés than TCU? If UGA and/or Michigan had lost on Saturday by a FG in OT (like TCU), they probably wouldn't have "dropped" in the rankings either. He didn't lie. He said it wasn't discussed in the room while ranking the top 4.
