TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Terrion Arnold was selected as a semifinalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, the Maxwell Football Club announced on Thursday afternoon.
Arnold helps to make up a list of 14 semifinalists for the award. Will Anderson Jr. is the lone Crimson Tide player to earn the accolade and is one of four total winners overall in the award's short history. The Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award has been presented annually since 2018 to the most outstanding freshman in college football.
A finalist list will be announced by the MFC on Dec. 6 with the award's 2022 winner being named on Dec. 29.

Not sure what to think of this. It was strange mixed in with the rest of his mostly positive ones.

I just think it's pretty much what he (and other head coaches) have always said about bye weeks. Bye weeks can be a chance to recover and get better. But they can also disrupt established routines, sometimes with bad results.

It was frustrating and depressing, you mean. At no point did we look elite, almost every win was a struggle, and we refuse to fix our weaknesses or learn from our mistakes. This season was over from a team mentality perspective before it started. It’s time to shitcan BoB and Golding before we lose momentum in recruiting. If Saban can’t do that then idk what he’s doing.
