Just now saw the article linked on Prentice. I was impressed last night and that was a great read.

Damn, uga looked good. bennett looked really good. Not sure how good Oregan is but looks like we will have our hands full if we meet uga.

Still not sure of our OL. Wasn't overly impressed. Very good stable of running backs but they will need a hole against much better D's we will face.

Why didn't they get Mark Ingram in there?

I tend to think Georgia will have their hands full if they meet us.

Yeah, I was a little underwhelmed by the OL play, too. Here's hoping that it was a combination of first game rough edges and our being a little vanilla regarding blocking schemes.

Some thoughts...

BY has all the answers. He knows exactly what he's looking at all the time. This kid is about to be legendary.

Can someone, anyone, teach BY how to slide. He's going to give me a heart attack.

It's not all doom and gloom with the run game. Take out the two big runs by Bryce and Gibbs it was still 30 for 157. I thought the O line started off slow but got in a groove as the game progressed.

Love the receivers. If Harrell and Latu get healthy there will be no answers for this offense.

I'd give the game ball on defense to Justin Eboigbe. Stout at the point of attack. He made the play even though he didn't necessarily make the tackle. Here's the defensive snaps
Alabama Defense vs. USU
Maybe my eyes are bad. But 92 was ballin.

Do not read option off 31. Somebody is going to get hurt, embarrassed or both.

If I had to pick two corners today it would be Koolaid and Ricks. Ricks is so smooth. Hopefully all 4 play against Texas so we have a better idea who's who. Related note, I'd love to find someone other than Koolaid to return punts.

That was the number 1 punt team that almost got the punter decapitated. I bet Saban will be all over this. Good teaching moment to show the importance of playing 4 quarters.

I agree with you about the oline, they got in the groove whenever Cohen came out and Ekiyor came in and Randolph switched back over to LG.

My thoughts as well. On his long run I just wanted him to slide after the 1st down.

He got bumped off-center on one of his jumping celebrations and landed awkwardly on his left leg.

Would be a shame to get hurt like that.

Bennett did exactly the same vs Oregon and shook of the limp, but you could see it got his attention.

I hate it for any kid that gets injured no matter the circumstances and I'm all for a little celebration after big plays, but losing star players like that would be gut wrenching

Kerry Goode was one of two Paul W. Bryant Alumni Award recipients honored last night at the game. If anyone is interested, there’s a link below to preorder a copy of his upcoming book.

I've never been to Town Creek, but Kerry Goode and his brothers and cousin, Antonio Langham, made that place sort of famous for a spell.

I saw where this was our first opening day shutout since September 10, 1988, when we defeated Temple 37-0.
