I'm not talking his performance. It's just using a stat that favors defenses that don't get off the field as a measuring stick. Alabama leads the SEC in time of possession so the defense is in the field less. Couple that with how strong our run defense has been and teams playing from behind doesn't lead to linebackers putting up crazy stats when it comes to tackles. UGA's leading tackler is 43rd on the list (listed at 30th, but allows for ties to only be one spot) and no one thinks their players have been disappointing.

So weird arguement that his tackle total is a letdown vs UT season.

I completely agree that he misses tackles way too much, takes bad angles and is not in the right spot way more than what is acceptable. Just saying that using total tackles to argue the point is kinda weird as it reflects nothing of his problems.

This. There's a lot of variables that would go into individual tackling statistics and the raw numbers won't necessarily tell you how good a player is compared to their conference counterparts. Consider that the players in front of him are from LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Auburn...almost all of those teams have had at least 60 more defensive plays than Bama (some have had over 100 or even 200). More plays = more opportunities to tackle.

Then when you look at tackling stats, totals weight solos and assists equally. 3-4 dudes can get an assist for tackling the same person. Henry's assists are significantly higher than his solos (that's actually what concerns me if I'm being honest).

It's just a very contextless stat that doesn't really tell us much, therefore you'd be kind of foolish to get upset over it without looking at the expanded data.

Metchie mentioned in his post game presser that Bryce made the call for him to run the 'zig' route on the final play.

Typically don’t care for the “music over” videos but this one isn’t too shabby - some great shots of the game:

Exactly what I said earlier when someone asked about all the checks at the line- Bryce is having to do BoBs job half the time to give us any chance. Bryce Young is carrying this team. He should win the Heisman, but media seems turned against him.

He will definitely have a golden opportunity this coming Saturday. Light a stout Georgia defense and he can go to New York by himself.

If you guys want entertainment, just sprinkle in some praise for Bill O'Brien over on the Coaching Changes board. They lose their minds over it, even though it would be a good hire for them at this point.
