Alabama Football’s Bryce Young Named Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award Semifinalist
The sophomore is one of 20 candidates up for the nation’s top quarterback honor
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has been named a 2021 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award Semifinalist, the Davey O'Brien Foundation announced on Tuesday.
Young is one of 20 players from around the country named to this year's semifinalist list. Mac Jones is the Crimson Tide's lone recipient of the O'Brien, taking home the hardware in 2020 as part of his record-setting final season.

Sounds like the staff was pleased with George's performance at RT on Saturday and is opening up the competition at C for Dalcourt and Owens? This is just reading between the lines from Saban's remarks on the teleconference.
“I do think we have competition at the position. Chris (Owens) has played there before, but we also have some young guys that have played the position that have done very well. We wanna evaluate and see what gives us the best chance to be successful in the game, and we’ll do that throughout the week.”

At this point, every practice should be an open competition for those spots.

Cole Cublic said lsu put Alabamas O line in a man on man situation, by putting a rusher on each lineman, either before the snap or after the snap. He said that keeps them from helping each other. Cole said the O line gets all the blame but they were not the only problem. He said the running backs missed blocks, the tight ends missed blocks and the Quarterback missing blitzes where he has to get the ball out fast to the hot receiver.

I wish we would put BOB and Marrone on the sidelines during the game as opposed to the box.
I've never been a fan of coordinators in the box.
