That’s exactly what it is and a good move program wise
I know a few young men on the team and it’s deeper than just playing the long game for Coach. Coach genuinely loves the players and believes in a peaceful protest, like someone said, he was at Kent St. when that incident happened.
Other opposing fan bases will say that the guy is an a-hole or this and that, but one thing he will do is go to bat for his guys. So the whole BLM, peaceful protests, telling fans to wear their masks, and everything else is from a good place.

Exactly. It's about doing the right things, for the right reasons -- It's not just what Saban preaches, but also what he practices. It's a core value of his, it's how he's wired.

Well said!! Honestly, that’s why I believe Saban will coach til he physically can’t do it anymore lol... The guy loves those men.

A lot to easier to get primetime spots when there are only 3 conferences playing football

Saban won a lot of recruits over today. The man knows how to play the long term game.
He's not playing a game; he actually believes in what he is doing.
He doesn't just see kids as a way to wins or generating revenue.
He actually wants to build men and I love coaches like this. The ones who were genuine and gave a shite about me helped me to get to where I am today.
The fake ones we smelt out fast and lost respect quickly thereafter.

Yep. I was blessed to have very good coaches who were also very dedicated to being good mentors.

I hate the cynical view of Saban as this single minded, machinelike tyrant who exists solely to win football games. There is absolutely zero basis in reality for it. That's just not who he is or what he's about.

I agree completely.
For me people who do that are projecting their own shortcomings. Daban has shown himself to actual care about the program, the process and the kids he mentors through it.
Love the guy.

Is that what we're gonna call Dabo when he comes home?

I respect what he has done at Clempson but I have told two people that know him personally i dont want him at Bama. I would like to find someone who has similar traits of NS and the Bear. Those being work ethic, great recruiting, attention to detail, and willing to adapt to changing times. Among a few.

Cristobal just might be that guy. He's killing it at Oregon.
