I’d say with it not being a formal announcement, he’s coming back. I’ve been wrong once before though so who knows....

Maybe just a tweet or some type of press release. He is a low profile person. And maybe he doesnt want to answer a bunch of questions.

Did anyone read this:
LINK
It's not that he hasn't got a point about Tua taking a risk. It's that he doesn't have his facts straight about who's staying or going at Alabama, but doesn't let his clear lack of knowledge stop him from going on his usual anti-Saban rant. Pathetic. Just like whatshisname, that guy who has a show with Shannon Sharpe...

I clicked on that article yesterday and then posted this comment on it:

Some pretty big nugz from the rivals site - this was from Kyle Henderson, FYI

quote:

What we are hearing this am..

Pete Golding is unlikely to return to Alabama.

Also Brian Baker may be on the way out as well. There is also a 50/50 chance that Kyle Flood will also leave.

We are hearing former Alabama DBs coach and current UT DC Derrick Ansley might be brought back to Alabama in some capacity, possibly as DC.

We are also hearing Alabama may have interest in bringing back Tosh Lupoi (d-line coach?).

All fluid, stay tuned...

I'd be very happy if Ansley came back as the DC. He's been with Pruitt for another year now in addition to his time at Alabama and would bring back the Pruitt style of aggressive arse kicking.

Ideal scenario IMHO

Ansley would be great, good coach and recruiter. My only question would be, do you take him as a DC and first time ILB Coach too?

Karl Scott has really killed it on the recruiting trail, but haven't really seen the best he can do with the CBs yet.

I'd be ok with Lupoi, but seems like pure "recruiters" were what Saban was trying to get away from too...

I read some followup (from regular posters, not mods) that said Kelly could move to ILBs as he has done it before and Scott/Ansley could both do the CB/S thing. And, if Ansley is DC, obviously maybe a little less positional coaching so that would work.

Update on McKinney looks like he plans to leave at this moment. More to follow if it changes.

I don't know about everyone else, but other than discipline (false starts) I was pretty impressed with the job Flood did this year. I thought the offensive line clearly got better as the year went on for the most part.

I can't believe that Baker isn't working out. I thought he was a slam dunk hire
