I guess Coach happened to see an article on a media persons unattended laptop while he waited for his daily conference and it was essentially an article of us losing already typed up and ready to roll. This seems from my understanding to absolutely chap his arse and he let the team know everyone can’t wait for them to fail. I like when things line up to piss us off. Every little bit helps.

If he completely made this story up (or exaggerated it a bunch), then my comfort level of him being able to increase his motivation game just went up. Motivation has been one of his issues back to his Washington days and a lot of why I think we lost the FSU game (and last year’s Vandy).
That said, if it actually happened, I’m thankful for it but that doesn’t make me feel better about his motivation game. Just got lucky this time…we need to be able to motivate when we’re a heavy favorite as well.

One good thing about our staff is they tend to have a strong belief that they can win any game. Ty has it as well. It serves us well when we’re in an underdog role or when we get behind, but that same “belief” can lead to complacency when we get a big lead or are a heavy favorite. We’re the underdog here, so hopefully that belief will be a positive for us in this one.

If we beat Indiana we'll be the favorite over Oregon/Ttech so you'll get your theory tested there.

We wouldn’t be favored by more than a few points and it’s a playoff semifinal. Not worried about complacency in that situation.
If we beat Indiana and I think we have a good shot at it, my biggest concern is the lack of additional prep time. Our coaching staff is very, very good with additional prep time. We’re less good when we have only a week and we’re quite bad when we have a disadvantage (even the day and half disadvantage in the SECCG).

Been listening to all the talking heads today previewing this game and.Its the same fkn narrative ..Yeah Bama will keep it close but Indiana has just too much.

I haven’t looked at a bunch, but Josh Pate is the only one I’ve seen so far that picked us to win out right. His model had the line as Indiana -3.5 IIRC.
