When I first saw that post from Kira I was worried, then I read he's just testing the waters, and then I wondered if I should even be worried if Kira did leave.

Do we need him to come back, or just root for him to go fulfill his dream and clean house?

The general consensus is that if he comes back he'll probably slide over to SG, right? Assuming Q is as-advertised?

I don't know what to think anymore.

He needs to cash in. He’s still 18 yrs old and was 1st team All SEC.

I’m really curious about his draft status. I don’t watch enough basketball to do anything but regurgitate the common knowledge that it’s a very weak draft. And he’s a really good offensive talent.

That being said, I can’t imagine any NBA teams would look at Kira and see anything but a 2 to 3 year project. He’s just nowhere near ready to contribute. He’s Trae Young defensively and I don’t think teams see him as Trae Young offensively.

The NBA draft is all about age and potential, that's why most of your top picks used to be straight out of HS, and now they are mostly freshman. Even though Kira is a Sophomore he is the same age as Anthony Edwards, Cole Anthony, and the other freshman guards who are gonna be in this draft. Having such a great year this year mixed with his age, this is definitely the time for him to go. He would hurt his stock by coming back a year the things he could improve on like defense and strength wouldn't help his draft stock much, but being a year older would definitely make him less attractive to NBA teams.

Most good guards in the NBA don't play defense.

Steph Curry, Trae Young, DeAaron Fox ect are not super strong guards and are doing just fine in the NBA.

I think another year at Bama with Kira playing off ball would increase his stock. He isn’t maxed out as a player so another year would not hurt him.

JP’s main issue is his ball handling. I don’t know what another year would do for him, but this year we saw an improved player and it helped him big time... His decision making is shaky at times too, I don’t think he is NBA ready just yet, but has the potential to stick in the league

He is 18 he is gone. Some team will take him early 2nd and mold him into the player they want him to be. Now Petty needs to come back.

Do you believe that Kira will be able to score and/or distribute like any of those guys? Young is the worst defender of the 3 by a mile and he averages 30 points and 9 assists per game.

He and De'Aaron Fox remind me a lot of each other. Fox is averaging 20 ppg in his 3rd NBA season, afrer averaging 12, then 17 points in his first two seasons and is considered in the top half of NBA point guards, do I think Kira could do that? Absolutely.

Anyone who wants to bet on if Kira comes back or not, I am down for it.

I want him to as much as anyone but he is gonna be picked somewhere between 18th and 30th and is a good NBA prospect already, he is not coming back.

Kira was the quickest guard I can remember in a Bama uniform . He could drive from 3pt line to a layup so quick ... going to miss that . Good luck to him... he needs to get paid

Yeah but Fox is also a much better defender than Kira, which was kind of my point there, although I don't think I made that very clear.

And even if he couldn’t, average starters in the NBA make a whole lot of money. He should go and make his millions

I think Kira is gone. I also think his ceiling in the NBA is a bench player.

Based on what? He was All SEC first team and arguably had a better season than Anthony Edwards who is going to be the top guard taken in the draft.

That's a dumb opinion.

Take off your crimson glasses. My opinion is not any worse than the shite you spew.

Plenty of players have been all sec and then didn’t even make the bench in the NBA

He is bad on defense, Not reliable at the line in crunch time, and until the last half of the season was just an ok shooter.

He is very elite at blowing by people though. And I hope he does well but I don’t think he is ready.
