And Vandy got smoked 10-2 by Indiana St, who has a double digit win streak going but shouldn’t beat the #4 team that badly in a midweek game.

Death, where is thy sting?
Miscues Lead to Baseball’s 4-3 Loss at UAB on Tuesday
The Crimson Tide committed three errors that led to three unearned runs in the midweek
Alabama baseball suffered a 4-3 loss to UAB on Tuesday evening at Regions Field. The Crimson Tide is now 26-12 on the season.
Alabama gained a 2-0 advantage in the top of the third on a two-run homer from Andrew Pinckney. The Tide maintained that lead until the fifth when an error helped the Blazers even things up with a pair of runs, one of which was unearned. UAB then pulled ahead in the seventh when a second miscue led to an eventual sacrifice fly. Alabama was able to tie things up in the top of the ninth on a Tommy Seidl solo homer to send the game to extras. The tie was broken in the 11th when one more error allowed the winning run to cross for the Blazers.
Kade Woods posted a scoreless, hitless outing in his first career start. The redshirt freshman tossed 3.0 innings with a walk and a strikeout before turning it over to the bullpen. Hunter Furtado highlighted the relief effort, contributing 3.2 innings with four strikeouts and one unearned run. Zane Probst was last on the mound, suffering the hard-luck loss after allowing one unearned run in 0.2 an inning. UAB reliever Christian Clack (2-1) picked up the win with 1.0 scoreless frame.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"Kade Woods gave us an awesome start, he looked great. Hunter Furtado was outstanding out of the bullpen. We just gave too many at-bats away early and certainly did not play very good defense tonight."

who made the errors?
Bama had 6 hits and 3 walks (in 11 innings/38 at bats). At one point their pitcher got through 2 complete innings with 9 total pitches. Terrible loss.
Looking for positives- Multiple players hit it to the wall (could have been home runs in The Joe - damn those extra 10 feet!). Pinckney and Seidl both homered. Kade and Hunter did everything asked of them - both had good outings. Zane was solid too.

Alabama baseball is projected to make the NCAA Tournament. Where will the Crimson Tide play?
After taking two of three games last weekend against Auburn, Alabama baseball has positioned itself to make the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons and the 26th time in program history, according to the newest projections.
The Crimson Tide has been a bubble team for much of the season, and despite not winning a series in SEC play until April, Alabama has won games over Florida, Kentucky and Arkansas to bolster its resume. The Crimson Tide most recently made the NCAA Tournament in 2021, playing in the Ruston, Louisiana, regional. That year, Alabama beat Rider but lost to North Carolina State and Louisiana Tech before being eliminated.
Alabama (26-12, 6-9 SEC) visits Missouri (23-13, 5-10) for a three-game series starting Friday (6 p.m., SEC Network+).
Baseball America: 3 seed (Hattiesburg)
Projection date: April 19
Baseball America projects Alabama to be the third seed in the Hattiesburg Regional in Mississippi alongside host Southern Miss, the projected No. 15 seed in the nation, Second-seeded Arizona State and fourth-seeded Army fill out the projection. The Crimson Tide's only contest against any of its projected regional opponents was a 13-0 win over the Golden Eagles in Tuscaloosa on April 11.
D1 Baseball: 3 seed (Greenville)
Projection date: April 19
D1 Baseball also projects Alabama as a 3-seed, but in the Greenville Regional in South Carolina. In this projection, the Crimson Tide would face host East Carolina, the projected No. 8 seed in the country, with 2-seed Duke and fourth-seeded Loyola Marymount also projected for Greenville. All three regional opponents will be facing Alabama for the first time this season.
College Sports Madness: 2 seed (Winston-Salem)
Projection date: April 12
College Sports Madness has the Crimson Tide as the second seed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, alongside regional host Wake Forest, the No. 2 overall seed in the tournament, third-seeded Elon and fourth-seed Columbia. Alabama hosted Columbia in early March, dropping two games in the three-game set.

INJURY NEWS: @AlabamaBSB LHP Grayson Hitt will miss the rest of the season with an elbow injury that will require Tommy John surgery. Hitt was ranked the No. 11 #MLBDraft prospect coming into the season, but was No. 44 in our refresh. Tough news for the #Tide and. Hitt.

No massive update on @AlabamaBSB RHP Ben Hess. Hess won't pitch this weekend, but he is most definitely due back at some point down the stretch. Stay tuned.

I had a dream we were playing Arky and we’re coming back, down 1 with a runner on 2nd with one out in the 9th.
Hamiter hit an infield pop fly and the runner took off thinking there were two outs.
Bo did nothing to stop him.
I hope I don’t have to live through two losses in a day.
I have a problem.

Took a 1-0 lead in the 1st.
Let Mizzou tie it up on another fricking wild pitch.
Unreal.
