Baseball Splits Saturday Doubleheader with Columbia
Alabama baseball split a doubleheader with Columbia on Saturday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the split, the 18th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 15-2 on the season.
The Crimson Tide came away with a 6-2 win in game one before a 15-3 loss in the nightcap.

"You got to give Columbia credit, they just kind of took it to us in the second game and did a really great job doing what we did the first 14 games this season. They were the aggressor. We get a day tomorrow to kind of catch our breath and get back on track next week."

A four-game roadtrip for Alabama baseball begins in Mobile as the 24th-ranked Crimson Tide travels to South Alabama on Tuesday. First pitch at Stanky Field is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT with the game airing on ESPN+.

That said I’d be shocked if Columbia is not in a regional.

May happen if weekend guys don’t improve. Bo noted that sometimes guys go into the season holding the coaches’ confidence, but don’t perform when it is time to, while another guy will emerge later and become the starter.
