I guess you missed Snell, Adams and Myers? Snell pitched 5 scoreless innings and Adams came out of his 1 scoreless inning with 3K’s and 0H. Braylon also had a good inninv with 3 up 3 down.

Did you happen to see the defense behind the pitchers? We have the second to worst infield percentage in the SEC. I hope they can help every pitcher out with what should be easy outs.

Snell pitched 4 innings giving up 4 hits but did shut them out. Moza, Buchanan( don’t know if he got an out) and Davis , we count on all of them for weekends , did not pitch well IMO. Not here to argue with you on the eliteness of our staff but they didn’t pitch well

Adams has been getting better and better. Like his potential

Completely off topic but can someone explain to me why they brought in the high school kid who graduated early? It caused guys who have been on the team for multiple years to get cut. He didn’t get the same type of strength training and you can tell. He looks like a high school kid. During the practice games he was getting smoked. Why did they bring him to campus early? You’d have to assume he’s getting paid a pretty penny to come and not play his senior year plus forgo any chance of being drafted out of high school.

Maybe referring to Ariston Veasey? I’m guessing he’s headed for a redshirt since he hasn’t seen action so far this season. I’m not sure which player he caused to move on - maybe another player who was looking to redshirt? I think a team typically carries up to 5 redshirts max and they can’t be receiving any part of a baseball scholarship if I recall correctly.

Prep Highlights
* Attended Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville, Ga.
* Reclassified during fall of his senior year and arrived on-campus this January
* A do-it-all player who can pitch, catch and play in the field
* The third-ranked outfielder and 10th-rated recruit at any position in Georgia by Perfect Game USA
* Also listed as PG’s No. 17 outfielder and the No. 87 prospect in the country
* Prep Baseball Report’s third-ranked catcher and the No. 12 recruit in his home state
* The No. 8 catcher nationally and No. 128 recruit overall by PBR
* Invited to the MLB States Play event in Scottsdale, Ariz., during the fall of his senior season to represent Georgia
* Earned a spot in the USA Baseball 16U/17U National Team Development Program
* Helped Starr’s Mill to the AAAAA state semifinals in 2023

Spit balling here, but maybe he reclassified bc we had an open spot/scholarship money since he came in January . I think some of the players left bc of a combination of losing their coach and a chance to go play for a National Title contender(Holman)/home state school (Woods) and more left than anticipated ? Not sure if Woods is injured or just not having a good year bc he has only 1 appearance all year

Connor Ball is one who got grey shirted and I know he didn’t have great stats but still surprised you’d do that for a kid who isn’t ready for college ball much less SEC.

I’m not familiar with the deep inner workings of roster management but Connor is still on the team per rolltide.com and neither he nor Ariston appear to be playing this season.

2024
* Has not seen playing time this season
2023
* Appeared in 11 games as a reliever, contributing 13.1 frames
* Went 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA (8 ER/13.1 IP) and 12 strikeouts compared to four walks
* Earned the win in his first appearance of the season on Feb. 25 against High Point, tossing 2.1 scoreless relief innings with one hit and a walk
2022
* Appeared in two games in his first season at UA
* Combined for a 4.50 ERA (1 ER/2.0 IP) and one strikeout during his time on the mound
* Made his collegiate debut with 1.0 scoreless inning against Alabama State on Feb. 23

Weather doesn’t look promising for Tuesday’s home game vs Samford but if Mother Nature changes her mind, you can bring your dog to The Joe. Details and waivers in the link below:

When the other team gets a bloop double for 2RBI

And you hit a laser right to the diving first baseman to save a run

You know this game just isn’t meant to be.

3 up 3 down. WOW!!

T 8. Petrutz lead off double. Sleight gets him to 3b on a ground ball to 2b.
Lebrun K. Ground out ends the inning.
